Thread Starter

I need a desktop amp that has good quiality, to use with my K702.

Under 100$ (please as cheap as you can :) to be connected to my computer's/iPhone's output.

It will be siting on my desk :) will be used to hear music, oviously.

Any suggestions? :)

FiiO E7, will power your K702 decently.

And if I would rather have something abit cheaper? How is the E5 or E6? Or anything but the E7? Is the E7 a good amp? Is it portable?

IMO

I would say at least E9 (with some limitations regarding the amp output impedance - K's impedance, but OK)!!

The K's are very power hungry!

For sure not E5 or 6

The E7 is too old as dac though...

The E11 is portable but it is supposed to have a lot of power! I would consider it as a cheap option...

I have heard -and own- only the E9!

Bump :)

Either the Objective2 or the E9 is probably the cheapest headamp with the power to drive K702s to live levels.  If you listen more quietly you could probably make due with something weaker like the E11.

Bump. I need more opinions please :)

I would vote for the E9. I feel that for the price it does a pretty good job with the 702s, and I really doubt that you will be able to do much better for <$100.

I have read good things about the above mentioned Objective 2 as well, but have never heard it personally. The RW amp 1 also looks interesting at around $100... Good luck!
