Perhaps a Sony MDR-V6/7506 or a KRK-6400.

If you are lucky you can find some used gems. The last HD250 II Linear I bought cost me 50 euros and was in excellent condition. I also found a rare Pioneer for little money.

I would not go for the Sony's. The V6 gave me headaches.

If you check certain sites including this one you can find a few unbelievable bargains.

Most importantly try a few headphones and then decide. Just take you time with your reference music (of which I hope it also includes some orchestral works).
