RSA predator DAC problems.

Hello people,

I have owned an RSA predator amp/dac for about a year now and I've been having problems keeping it connected to any computer. The dac appears on the computer and then disappears immediately when the usb cable is touched or moved slightly. I though there was something wrong with my usb cable, so i changed that and it still wont connect correctly to the computer. I then switched to another computer and the same problem happens again. There seems to be something wrong with the usb mini port at the back side of the predator. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've tried removing the entire circuitry from the aluminum case thinking there might be some shortages going on with the female usb and the case itself. Should I send ray a message or is there an easy fix to this?

Thanks!

Hey Drummer

The Predators have a lifetime warranty. I would send the unit in for repair then you will know that it is done right. There also may be a chance that if you try and work on it yourself you may void the warranty.

Hope this helps.

Problem solved! All i had to do is push the usb pins downward a little bit so they make better contact with the pins of the inserted usb cable. Saved me a whole lot of waiting and shipping fees.
