comfortable headphones with a good quality

I'm thinking of buying AIAIAI TMA-1 Pro DJ Headphones.  http://www.headphoneworld.com/p/AIAIAI_TMA-1_Pro_DJ_Headphones.htm

I watched a video on youtube and it looks like they are really comfortable and the sound is really good. I listen to progressive rock/metal and wanna use them with my laptop and mobile phone.

Is there an alternative or better choice or better price for similar headphones? Thanks in advance

If you like them, get them. Have fun, and tell us how you like them!

The AiAiAi TMA-1 has a quasi-cult following on this site. There are people who swear by them and those who can't stand them. Personally, I think they're a nice-looking pair of mid-fi headphones, and you can't really go wrong with sound quality if you're just getting into the hobby (Beats excluded).

Get 'em and post your impressions!

what about AKG K 271 MK II? Isn't it better in terms of sound and more comfortable?

Without an amp, the sound of the K271 MKII is very cold and not as fun. I'd say that if you end up with them, you'd definitely want an amp with them. Luckily they're not as bad as other AKGs with amping, and won't be picky. You can pick up a cheap, small portable amp. I think they'd have better comfort, but I've not thoroughly auditioned the TMA-1.

Sincerely,

what do you mean by an amp for headphones? Does it make a better sound compared to using a phone or laptop?

An amplifier for headphones makes up for inadequacies in the source of your music. Phrased simply, many high-end cans are too powerful for an iPod or phone to properly power. It will either play the music at full volume with aspects of it not as good as they could be, or will refuse to play at high volume. An amp acts as a go-between, creating the volume of the sound so your portable device can focus solely on the quality of the audio. The need for an amp is based on a combination of impedance and sensitivity of the headphones, but the evaluation is relatively complicated to do, so I'll just say that you're probably going to want an amp for optimal sound out of many of your suggestions here. However, that's not to say you can't get good sound without an amp. There are plenty of cans that are easy to drive without an amp, but almost universally they improve with one.

Lower-end portable amps include the FiiO E6, JDS Labs CMoyBB 2.03, and Headroom Total Airhead, but home and desktop amps can run in the thousands just like headphones.

What is the best option if I listen to music mostly on my laptop? Is it better to get an amp for laptop as well? If I bought AKG K 271 MK II with an amp would it be really worth buying?

Usually you will not need an amp going directly from a laptop, as it should have enough power to drive the headphones. One oft-recommended upgrade for laptops is an Asus Xonar sound card, though, which can enhance the SQ coming out of it. It would still be a great phone to buy if you're going to use it on your laptop unamped. Don't let amping scare you away from good sound.

Sincerely,

How come this is such a good price? Would you buy it from this ebay seller? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270880228712?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649#ht_1574wt_1139

The guy's a top-rated seller on Ebay, so while I cannot comment on his pricing he is reputable.
