I njust bought a pair of Sennheiser HD 558's and I can't figure out how to attach it to my iPod.  Im a newb but please help :(

let me rephase, I bought the headphones and there was no jack to plug in my iPod.  What should I do?

By no jack do you mean the current one is too large to fit into your iPod? Or does the cable just.. end?

lol I hope that's what he means. Are you saying your Sennheisers are missing a plug period?

Did you buy it new and from an official reseller? They're supposed to come with an adapter according to Sennheiser's website.

If the current jack is too large, double check that you can't pull it off to reveal the smaller one. If not you'll have to run to a RadioShack or something similar and pick up an adapter for it. These aren't very expensive, and if need be you can certainly find one cheap on Amazon.

Did it come with an adapter in the box? Did you buy this new and from a reputable seller?

ok after much searching it appears i threw away the chord so i got it. lol.  I'll go ahead and not reproduce so people like me wont be bothersome in the future

You don't have to go that far. The "doesn't throw adapters away" gene might just be recessive. Make sure you marry someone who doesn't throw adapters away, to maximize the chance that your child won't be handicapped for life.
