If you find that the stock tips aren't working out, give the Sony Hybrids a try. They worked great for my pair!

The only thing under $300 I would consider over the TF10 would perhaps be a triple-driver from Westone.

And perhaps the Westone 4? ^_^

Enjoy your new IEM. You won't be disappointed if it's your first time buying a new top-tier IEM. And Merry Christmas to you as well! ^_^

As I have heard, many people had problems with the cables after 5-6 months or so, this gives you a chance to upgrade to a braided Westone cable which are very good and extremely durable. Since you're saving big time on this purchase, the remaining can go to fund a new Westone cable, which I believe is not very expensive online ^_^.

Seeing they have the same connects, they most probably will. Shure replacement cables won't work for sure. http://www.head-fi.org/t/540302/ue-tf10-westone-es-cables-cabling-setup

E
DIT: I also heard you had to file a little on the connects. So do be careful about purchasing them.

Not to worry. Also, Amazon can replace them if that every happens out of the box. Also, when you're old enough, you can also re-shell them for the best possible fit.

EDIT: Sorry, did not read it properly. Do search around on how to remove them if you ever need to though.

No problem. But yes, they would still probably replace it if that happens.
