Would this be of better SQ then running a lineout of a Sansa Fuze or other music player?

rocoo P is the better source regardless the HDMS feature. it even betters my diymod by a noticeable margin

Is this better than original rocoo p FW......?

What is the difference between Studio DT and original Rocoo -P fw........?

Installed Studio 8G firmware. It is the newest one, date : 2011.12.26. Sounds good so far. I'd recommend trying it out.

Edit. Bass seems to be less quantity then on Rocoo P firmware. As I remember Rocoo P is the most bassy firmware of all.

Has anyone directly compared the sound quality of the RoCoo D to the RoCoo P?

You can get it with you VIP card with the price of 20% off, we also will to offer you the shipping fee of USD 10. the total price is USD 59x80%= $  47. any one are interested on it, Please contact with me. Can someone tell me what this is used for, please? How would I know if I needed it? Thanks.

Well, as the description explains, it's just a cable that adds more impedance (resistance) to your IEM/headphones. If you experience hiss or are annoyed by this this cable may help reducing this. Unfortunately, increasing the resistance (impedance) can with some IEM's (typically armature drivers) alter the their sound in a way you may not like!

So If you don't have any hiss issues, which I strongly assume you haven't experienced with your Ultrasone Pro 550 (just read your signature) ?

Then I believe you really do not need this cable, unless you like the bright yellow color :-)

I hope this helps?

Yeah, THANKS! smile_phones.gif

The reason I asked is because I just ordered a RoCoo P for use with my PRO 550. I don't have it yet. I figured I'd ask now because sometimes you'll ask a question and it takes three days to get an answer. I thought it was to help drive the headphones. I guess I will listen for hiss when I get it in. So I've been playing with them together. Like the way it sounds very much. A bit harsh but not bad and good bass. Got a couple of questions if one could help.

The volume is not as loud as I'd like it but is really not that bad, actually. Is there anyway to make it louder with a cable or second amp?

How would an ULTRASONE Pro 900 sound with this? It is 40 ohms compared to the 550's 64. What do you think?

Thanks anyone who'll help. ph34r.gif

Anyone know about the Rocoo BA? Was talking via email with HiSoundAudio about the Rocoo P and was told the Rocoo BA was a better choice for someone expecting to get CIEM's. I didn't even see this model on their site, but was informed the Rocoo BA was $250 USD.

I'm looking to get a new MP3 player and am trying to decide between the Rocoo standard and power version.  I have the Audio-Technica ATH-AD700 on order and plan on getting a Digizoid 2.  After reading all 20 pages I'm a bit confused on which Rocoo I should get.  Am I correct in that there doesn't seem to be much difference between the two except the power has an increased sound output that colors the sound while the standard has less output and is more neutral?

Is the "hiss" a hardware or software issue or both?  From some of the posts it appears the firmware reduces the hiss or at least masks it somewhat.  Does the hiss exist in both the standard and power version?  If I enable HDMS to go from the Rocoo -> Digizoid 2 -> Audio-Technica ATH-AD700 will the hiss still be there on either the standard or power version?

I plan on mainly playing FLAC files and will be using the Rocoo wiith the EQ off or on natural and have the Digizoid do the sound processing.  I've never used an DAP/Amp combo so I'm hoping the additional bulk will not be noticeable (currently using a Cowon X5L).  I would appreciate any advice on this potential setup.

I am looking into the Rocoo players as well, and I already have the Digizoid ZO2. The ZO2 might have issues with the P, as I know their are restrictions hardware wise that the ZO2 would be able to accept input without it being overpowered. I was not thinking about using the ZO2 with the Rocoo player I end up getting, as I like it with my other setups and want the Rocoo so I have the option of not using a stack of devices when I am mobile. You may wish to email Digizoid to make sure that the output power from the Rocoo will not have adverse effects with the ZO2 being overpowered.

I am also curios about the hiss, it seems its something about the firmware on the device and the sensitivity of the gear making use of the output from the device.

Thank you for the advice; I hadn't thought about this at all I just assumed that the HDMS signal was significantly lower if it was intended to be used with an external amp.  If that is the case, perhaps the standard Rocoo would be the best choice.  If what I read is correct, it has a more neutral sound (better choice if being used with a headphone amp/processor) and the lower output will keep the sound from clipping?  I would just like some clarification on the hissing issue before I make a purchase as I will also be using the player with some IEMs.

Do you think it's even worth it to pair the ZO2 with either version of the Rocoo?

Its just something to loo into, though the HDMS may mean you don't need to worry. I have no idea about what a HDMS is or how it works. Couldn't find anything on google about it

The HDMS on the Rocoo-P  is not a true line out. It's basically just locking in the full volume at it's max(31!), and not by-passing the amp. section.

So it's kind of a pseudo LO  Personally, I would not use this feature to combine an amp (just my eexperience) , but just use the Rocco-P as intended at it's best.
