Just got IEM's ---> and some questions

Hi,

I bought the Hisoundaudio Flamenco's for Xmas from Frogbeats: http://shop.frogbeats.com/hisoundaudio-flamenco

I got a few questions though...

- Why do I have to crank up the volume so much compared to my full size headphones?

When the volume from both Windows 7  and iTunes is 100% I can still easily listen to them.

With the headphones I put WIn 7 on 50% and iTunes on 100%.

- The're not very comfortable (my ears start to burn a bit), I use the smallest tips, but when I don't push them hard enough in the seal is so bad that they don't sound good. EDIT: using the M tips is a little better now.

- I tried using the Medium and Large tips, but the weird thing is that all the sizes fir nice in my right ear, but the M and L fall out of my left ear. Don't now why but when I push the smallest one in my left ear it stays.

I'm a total IEM noob, but wanted to use them outside and at school etc (FA-003's are a bit big).

Greetings,

P.S. They didn't come with all the ear tips seen in the picture on the website, only with normal tips in S, M and L.

If they have a high impedance (I think I have that right :P) they take more power to run at higher volume.  As long as it's not too loud for your ears, you should be ok.

And it's alright to use different size tips in each ear; certain tips won't fit correctly in my left ear so I use a size up/down as needed.  Although with the Comply tips, they expand to fit so there's never much issue.

Hi,

I don't know what impedance is, specs say: 16 Ohm and 108dB

Would you recommend getting some of those special foam tips and just never use latex ones?

Greetings,
