Well just received the headband that people were talking about on here last week, while I didn't have any issues myself with the comfort it does feel better than before. Just note that it is a tight fit at each end but they all snap in place.

Definitely worth the $13. Like I said though it's a tight fit so it doesn't look the greatest but who cares. Here's a picture with it on.

That really doesn't sound likely. Either one of the connectors isn't screwed in all the way or there is an issue on your end (if you can test it with other speakers/headphones). Otherwise, that royally sucks.

Do you think the cable could possibly be broken? If so, would they send me a new one?

If one side is working, unscrew the cable going to that side and screw it into the other... see if the driver is fine.  If that works on the previously quiet side, the cable is the problem.  I assume hifiman will replace it, I haven't dealt with their warranty yet personally :)

lol, Thanks. Computer's are my other money sink as of right now. That comp makes my audio setup look cheap in comparison.

As an owner, I find the case fans to be quite loud. Really wish I could switch over to a 400R =/

 

If anyone's interested, you can find the cushioning for the headband of the HD580 here. It's about $15 shipped for me

Phew, after over 2 weeks of waiting I finally received my replacement HE-400 all the way from China. I requested for velour pads to be included and HiFiMan included the pads! Great customer service there. 

 

Now, to return the DT990 600 I've been using as a temporary replacement beyersmile.png

I know what u mean..am workin on a watercooled pc..gpu,cpu,hdd,mem and motherboard..all watercooled by two independent circulations with its own waterpumps and radiators..i could buy a cheap second hand car with the money i have spent on that pc until now..tongue.gif

That's pretty intense, I could only stand to get a self-contained water cooling unit for my CPU, here is my rig http://www.overclock.net/lists/display/view/id/1280230 case fans are not very loud, but I have a fan controller too.

 

Headphones and computers: two complementing moneysinks.

I agree completely...last month i also bought myself a set of he500's and a darkvoice 337 (see my avatar)..
Ps..i will upload a pic of my work in progress pc 2morrow in my pics section..so u have an idea how it looks..ur pc looks tidy..good work..
