Well then here are my Amazon and Monoprice shopping carts.  Also spending ~$80 at Lowes for some fiberglass for some acoustic paneling.  As you can tell im starting a home recording studio.

Ill post pictures of the gear when it arrives probably not for a while as OC Speakers is closed till Jan 2 for the holidays.  If this thread is too dead(it probably will be) i will post them in significant purchases.

Some of the main things that I got. A Bleu Microphones Yeti for podcasting (going to pick up a custom chock mount and pop filter soon), an Apple Wireless Keyboard (my other keyboard had Chai stains galore and was totally shot), and what I have always wanted...a pair of small soft boxes for lighting up the desk when I do headphone, amp, and DAC videos. I was supposed to get my AKG Q701's in the mail today, but alas they are a day late!

Ooh ive heard good things about bleu mics. And need a workspace like yours, so much space and good looking colors that go well together.

Gorgeous workspace there. Once I get some more lighting I'm hoping to have something similar. I need to get my desk LEDs and some brighter overheads.

Thanks. Yeah, I've been quite busy lately. Trying to get a audiophile pod cat registered which should be up sometimes next week. And in reference to Blue Mics, for $99, the Yeti has some amazing sound quality. Not shrill, slightly warm, smooth, and full bodied. I need to get a shock mount and a pop filter though. The noise from my table, ale it tiny, is too much noise for me.

Thanks, MorbidToaster. Yes, I am quite the neat freak when it comes to my desktop. Even though the soft boxes are used for my recordings, I also use them at my desktop because the extra light around my workspace is just awesome.

I'm super anal about my desk space being clean as well. My girlfriend piles junk up on hers and occasionally leaves stuff on mine and I just toss it on the floor at this point and have her clean it up (I know that sounds mean, but after almost 5 years she knows better). She knows I hate random stuff on my desk.

Lighting has been a huge concern of mine as of late. It just bugs me not having a 'natural' feel to the room because of poor lighting.

Stuff from my mom and sister, I'll probably have Xmas 2 at my dad's place this weekend.

I returned the Razer Nostromo already, swapped it for a Wii Motion Plus controller that I needed for Zelda, and a webcam for my mom so she can Skype with family. I was hoping the Nostromo would be good for MMO's, but it seems to be made with FPS in mind. It also just wasn't very comfortable for me as I have rather large palms, so my hand didn't rest quite right on it, and the spacebar key took more work to hit than I cared for. It had enough keys that I could map down the directional movement keys and still access the ability keys needed for a game like Rift or SWTOR, but the top two rows are seated a bit higher up than the bottom row, so it made for awkward movement.

/end mini-review

I'll probably edit my post later with what I get from my dad.
