Sennheiser hd700 pricing.

Hi 

 

Just sold my grado 225i's and am about to buy some sennheiser hd650's for just under £300 here in england.  Will be used mainly for movies. 

 

My question is: any ESTIMATE of how much the upcoming Hd700's MAY cost?  

I spoke to sennheiser and they mentioned it's to be released 6 weeks after the big consumer show start of jan. 

 

Im happy spending £300 or so. If they're priced between the 650 and 800's they're more than I want to spend.

Check the HD700 thread, there's been some discussion and most say between $699 - $999 which is beyond £300.

 

I think you should look into classifieds for used HD650's, unless you insist on Brand new which is already overpriced in UK. $350 new in amazon.com vs £300 new?

They're going for about £200 used here so for £80 more I'd rather have a new pair. 

Not planning a trip to the states else I'd have bought them from there like my grados that I kept for a year and actually made a little on.

They're going to cost more than the HD650 that is for sure.  It is very unlikely they will be priced very close to HD650 either.

I've seen them in the EU for 699 euro preorder - not 700 euro - which is a fair price I think. The HD 800 is 995 euro to get. Didn't see them on ebay. If I can sell my large scale train collection I'm gona buy the new HDVD 800 & HD 700
