Denon AH D1100 vs Sennheiser 518

About 100 for either one, but I cannot find either in a nearby store to try out before purchasing. Bass is important but not everything. Does not need to be closed back and comfort is fairly important. Thanks!

I own 518LE 1 year, good bass, fun sound, clamp tight.

i just bought D1100 and on the way, quick try before;

bass style is different, better sound stage

more comfort

518 is on ear, 1100 is over the ear

Actually the 518 you speak of(I think) is the AKG 518LE.  The OP is asking about Sennheiser's HD518.  Though, your description does fit the HD518.

I would take the Denon AH-D1100, just because it should hold a better resale value over the HD-518.

Plus I do enjoy bass.
