The New Korn Album

The Path of Totality is the tenth studio album by American nu metal band Korn, released on December 2, 2011 in Europe and December 6, 2011 in the US.[1] The album was produced by various dubstep, drum and bass, and electro house artists due to the band's desire to fuse their traditional sound with electronic elements. The lead single, "Get Up!", is one of three tracks produced by Skrillex, and was released as a digital download on May 6, 2011. "Narcissistic Cannibal" was released as the second single on October 18, 2011.

Regarding the album, vocalist Jonathan Davis stated: "I want to trail-blaze. I want to change things. I want to do things we're not supposed to do. I want to create art that's different and not conform to what's going on. We didn't make a dubstep album. We made a Korn album."[2] The album was made available for pre-order on Amazon and iTunes on October 21, 2011; as well as special bundle packages available on Korn.com.

Do we have any Head-Fi folks into this album?

There has been so many crossover albums put out this year. I feel we finally have a good one. What do you think?

Hum...new Korn album.  I have everything Korn has put out, but I can't say that I am excited about this new release.  I will buy it, but I am not holding my breath that it will be great.  It seems like I am always hoping that they will put out something as good as their debut and Life is Peachy.

I was expecting it to be hilariously bad, but its only moderately bad.  Not the worst thing you'll ever listen to.  Some interesting sounds, bad none of the tracks are particularly memorable.

has couple good tracks but is junk mostly. the quality is bad too. no dynamics, so no life in the bass(no punch/impact). ''Get Up'' and ''Bleeding Out'' is the only tracks i like but, it's overall a bad album.

These I rate on a scale of 1-10

Korn (1994) Never into Korn until 2004. I play it sometimes, gets a 9 for originality.

There was nothing like this when it came out.

Life Is Peachy (1996) 9

Follow the Leader (1998) I liked this just like most of America. 9

Issues (1999) Never really liked this record. 4

Untouchables (2002) For me this is their first total come back record. I love the sound of this album. 10

Take a Look in the Mirror (2003) Don't play this that much.?

See You on the Other Side (2005) This album is strangely memorable for me. Most folks hated it. I like it. 9

Untitled album (2007) A new sound for them. I play this often. Gets an 7. The ratting would be higher but the album has a couple of weak songs.

Korn III: Remember Who You Are (2010) Their worst album by far. This is what a bad record sounds like.0

The Path of Totality (2011) As far as a comeback record, it's not. As far as a solid record it is. They are really trying here so it gets a couple of points for effort. I can really get into a couple of songs. It is totally a Korn record. The album does not sound like anyone else, but yet it is a slightly different style. It sounds like they had total control of what was going on. This is a strange record as it may become better liked by some or maybe wear on others as time passes. I actually play it a lot. It gets an 8.
