Fiio E7/E9 + HD 650s?

Hey, I'm very new to the high-quality audio scene but I've always loved music with passion so I figured this year I'd buy myself the Sennheiser HD 650s.

Basically I'd like to know..

Is my laptop (Macbook Pro) as the original source going to hinder the quality?

Is it very important that I buy both a DAC and an amp?

What DACs and amps would work well for a $200-300 max total budget?

I'm considering the Fiio E7+E9 combo, would this work well? Would it be compatible with my mac?

Thanks, sorry if these are vague questions. I can provide more information if you ask.

The E9 is not bad amp (and I like it a lot with the 650) but I would wait for FiiO to release it΄s new dac that can dock on E9 the E17 (if I remember right). The E7 is somehow old. It can't play hi-rez.

It is more important to get an amp first but a dac will give you the most out of your system... and of course you should NOT play with iTunes for the best results. Try Decibel, Audirvana (free), Audirvana Plus

Another option would be IMO the Objective O2 amp (http://www.jdslabs.com/item.php?fetchitem=O2Full or http://www.epiphany-acoustics.co.uk/7.html), even with the E17 dac. I haven't heard it but I think I will get one. If you search here you will find a lot about it (in diy forum mainly)
