Very best,

I wouldn't call myself a basshead, but Sr60i's + Street Songs = a funkin' good time.

If you don't like it you don't like it, don't try to convince yourself that you are wrong or that you are missing something that everybody else is hearing.

What I DID do however, was go on a journey of like 20 other headphones until I came back and realized that I actually did like Grados, it's just that the SR-80 was not the model I wanted, it was the SR-225 actually that led me to appreciate the Grado sound. I kept comparing the SR-60 and SR-80 to things like HD600's and K601's and kept chanting that "Grados are supposed to be better than headphones twice their price"

Also if you're coming from really muddy boomy headphones like some entry level Sennheiser HD models, it's a breath of fresh air.

Just keep movin' along and hopefully we'll find you in the Grado camp some day :)

Ya, the SR60i is very hit or miss for me too.  Sometimes when I'm listening to mine I feel like they have a very metallic sound to them.  It's not pleasant at all.  If you want a decent little player to pair them with and you don't like using portable amps...get yourself a philips gogear and put your setting on fullsound.  The fullsound will really bring out the bass in the SR60i.  The real drawback to fullsound though is you'll lose a decent percentage of detail in your songs.
