So it has now been confirmed, the new Z2 is the last Cowon Android MP3 player.

Hopefully Cowon has read every critical review of the D3 and made sure they don't make those same mistakes with the Z2. It should have Google apps and Market, a dual-core (or quad-core!)  1.5Ghz processor, 1gig of RAM, come in 16gb, 32gb, and 64gb versions, and have an 8gb camera on the back just for kicks.

Nice find! Seing it like this, it reminds me a little bit of the O2 with a nintendo like Design :o

yeah, probably build wise it will be something like that... the D3 looks more like a cell-phone (design wise). The Z2 reminds me of the sturdyness of a D2 or V5 :)

When I first read about the Cowon A5, I thought of a successor of the Cowon A4, something likea 320gb Cowon just for audio. But it looks like an enhanced Cowon V5...

Who will ever understand it? But I think that are the strong Asian ties to business partners. Windows, Telechips, Wolfson, etc.

 

Personally I was thinking of Cowon Z2 + Fiio E17 combo = massive battery time :), because the DX100 could be exorbitant expensive, or will have 8hrs of battery time...

I'm expecting anyong still using WinCE  to start using Phone7 or Win8 on their tablet/PMP devices in 2012.   Why?  Microsoft will want some of that pie, and make it dirt cheap for those manufacturers.
