I bought a pair of paradigm atoms as my first loud speaker and I dont have an Amp to hear them yet so I hooked one speaker to the wires coming off my M Audio AV 40 monitor to get an idea. Adjusting the gain back and forth between L/R the paradigms lack a lot of clarity in compatison to the AV 40's. Im wondering if I hook this up to a proper amp if I will get a better idea of what these speakers sound like--or should the 20 amps coming from the av 40 amp be enough to get a fairly good idea.
I like the clarity of the av 40's. i listened to some Totems yesterday which I think i might upgrade to as these seem to give off a lot of clarity, which i guess i seem to like as I listen to a lot of acoustic guitar music.
