Planning on treating myself to a decent pair of headphones, i listen to mostly house music on an MP3 player. Can anyone recommend a pair? There are so many reviews online its confusing! Want to spend no more then £250 ideally

pal, are you looking for portable Headphones or full size cans, cause this section of forum is only for IEMs or portable headphones (small cans)

you may want to check headphones section on Head-fi.

Just portable

MTPG's seem to have done it for me the past year, great bass for house music- way under your budget though... just switched to the JVC fx700

Are you looking for an IEM or an over the head headphone?

Beat me to it.  My Golds have been nothing short of amazing and I listen to mostly House/Electro/Electro-House.  They also do justice to other genres outside of EDM.  I think they're underrated earphones personally.

V-Moda M80 is an actual headphone that will most likely be great for house

Thanks i'll check them out, under budget is fine!

Looking for over the ear, was considering the b&w p5s but a couple of reviews said theyre not much good for house, anybody got an opinion on them?

I happen to own the P5 as well and it's not bad for EDM but I don't have much to compare it to since I haven't heard too many other portable on-ear models.
