Ordered this from PriceJapan, and was worth of every euro I payed. Greatly enjoying this with my Audio-Technica's. Enjoy the pics. = )

This thing wipes the floor with the Musical Fidelity M1DAC + M1HPA combo I had! = D The clarity, separation, punchiness, soundstage, you name it. Everything sounds very involving. And on top, this looks classy to my eyes. No device purchases next year, not a hard promise to keep. = ) Maybe new phones though... ;D

No worries, in Finland the supply is so narrow that I probably won't be able to listen to anything much better unless I order one. xD Next will probably be something from Esoteric, and the prices ensure that I'm not buying them anytime soon. biggrin.gif

Sorry to bump this. But I want to ask what chip they're using for DAC and USB Receiver, and most importantly, how do they sound via USB?

The DAC chip is Asahi Kasei AKM4396. I don't actually know about the USB, I use optical.

That's is really a nice looking DAC. 

Do you have to pay more to get the wooden casing?

I don't see wooden casing in their website though.

The wooden casing was about 15% more, I don't remember exactly. Mostly visual but too good looking to pass. = )

I thought the wooden casing was only available to the LTD version?

 

Oh is this mainly an Amp or DAC?

Yeah, it only comes with the LTD version, just compared the price to the regular version.

 

I suppose it's mainly a DAC, however the amplifier is not a joke either and at the moment I have no desire for separate amp. = )
