The HD280s look kinda ugly and the cord is super long, so I can't go that route. I was thinkin CAL!s You guys?

The CAL!s are very good headphones, but they sadly isolate closer to a semi-open. ljokerl had a low rating for the isolation, it shows up in the reviews, and it also shows up in the measurements.  If isolation is key, I would suggest against them in this case.

Musical preferences?

Didn't think there was enough choices for me to factor in my musical preferences. EDM/Electronica>Mainstream (Pop, hip-hop, rap)> Alternative rock. My sources will be my iPhone 4S, and my Xonar DG from my computer.
