I Am Looking For Headphones

Thread Starter

I'm sorry about ANOTHER thread about someone looking for headphones! I have been lurking here for awhile and all of these threads are serving me no justice. So, I am going to make my own and see if you guys can help.

I have a budget of $80 (with shipping) and I am looking for some over the ear headphones. I am 16 and I listen to techno, rock, hip-hop, dubstep, trance, etc... I am looking for some headphones that are clear, cover a wide range of sound, have thumping bass, and are comfortable. I couldn't give a **** less about what they look like. Do any of you have any ideas on what I should try? I have looked at just about every headphone on the internet, and I bet I could give you a problem with the ones you may recommend.

Anyways, feel free to ask questions so you can better know my tastes so you can give better recommendations! Thanks HF!

Get Creative Aurvana Live! for $60-70 shipped.

Of course you want the phones to look good. Not only good but sound better than the beats your buddies think sounds good. The best trance phone for any amount of cash. These will cost around $10 more than your budget but worth it. 311KgWzxcxL._AA115_.jpg Pioneer HDJ500.. Truly awesome for your genres of choice. They have 2 other colors as well.

Well, I have just read some reviews about these and it seems like the bass is alright, and the quality is not as good as some Sonys. I only have $80 and I REALLY don't want to waste my money. I am a basshead, and I want some headphones that will make my ears vibrate! But I also want there to be some really good sound quality.

Thing is, I only have $80!

Get $10 more. Sell a kidney. Sell some blood. If you can only hear what these do for trance..

If you want your ears to vibrate, you might look into the Sony XB500.

Hmm, these do look pretty cool. Would you really, HIGHLY recommend these? Hows the bass?

I'm looking for over-the-ear headphones.

They are over the ear.  The XB300s are on the ear.

The HDJ500 are on ear as well but they isolate meaning people wont be able to hear what your listening to and visa versa. Bass on these are awesome. True Dj headphones from Pioneer.. The Sonys will give you bass but if you heard the clarity on the HDJ500s with the big bass which is what you need for proper Trance...I am telling you for Trance EDM. The Pioneer headphones are beyond awesome. http://www.head-fi.org/t/567012/the-portable-bass-kings-the-pioneer-hdj500-vs-akg-518-le-vs-the-first-look-at-the-new-at-ws55-solid-bass/105#post_7987285 Go to the beginning of the thread and it has a review of them.. My review.

Dang, these look amazingly insane. Thing is, I have a STRICT budget of $80 dollars. Can you recommend me some good headphones like this below $80?

Exactly what I was thinking.

From my understanding, the XB500 are at the top of quality bass cans at the under 100$ range.

I actually ordered these cans just recently, should be getting them by the end of this month.

You can read this review: http://www.head-fi.org/t/531619/review-denon-ah-d1100-vs-sony-mdr-xb500

Comparing the XB500 (50$-65$) to the Denon AH-D1100 (200$) and from this review you can understand how good value of bass you get for your money.

If you'd like me to give a personal review about them (I also listen to Dubstep and a bit of Hip-Hop) private message me.

Good luck.

Just give me a quick review. I am no audiophile, but how are the highs, mids, and lows? And also, your ears go inside of the foam pieces right?
