What amp to get for low end headphones.

Ok I am looking for a headphone amp. Currently I have a behringer 4 channel one that I am not happy with.

Here is the deal. I would like it to have multiple channels on it.  It will be running off my desktop and laptop pc. I need multi channels because I like to also have my desktop speakers hooked up and my other headphones. I prefer something that can power 4 channels at a time and not one that switches. The headphones I have right now are the Beats studios(Don't bash I know people don't like them and they have an internal amp) Akg k-240 , and grado sr80i. I will also be getting the Akg 701s next month.

I am hoping to spend under 150 and as far as what i listen to, well I listen to everything besides country music. Also occasionally play some games through them. So if someone could suggest something that would be great.

Honestly I don't think there is much at that price point. (Unless I missed something)

The 4 channel amps seem to be really cheap or quite pricey. The Fiio E7 has duel outputs if that helps any.

Ok well lets say I dont go for a 4 channel. If I go for a 1 channel is there a switch of some sort I can get so I dont have to keep unplugging everything.

Hey,

From what you said the Hifiman EF2A would be a good fit. Uses the Burr-Brown PCM2702 chip which is a pretty good performer, and is decently powerful. It will serve you well.

I've not heard it, but you might check out the TubeMagic.

Plenty of info on a few threads here...

The EF2A does offer an integrated dac with a PCM2702.

Opps! My mistake!

Yea little dot sells independent dacs, but nothing integrated. Honestly though their tube amps are all great, if you wanted to give yourself an upgrade path later on you could get a little dot and at a dac at a later point.

I can speak for the LD I+, it would be good for the OP's choice of headphones and is a good sounding amp that's fun to roll tubes and opamps.

As you said, he'd have to find a seperate DAC...
