Okay so here's an item that's had me curious for a while:
Why are right and left associated with red and blue?
I first noticed this on a few sets of cabling, and then on a pair of headphones, and then on a lot of other pairs of headphones - I've seen headphones from Sennheiser, Kenwood, Audio-Technica, Shure, KRK, and most notably Beyerdynamic (the DT48 A.00) all display this coloration. The only cables I've seen more or less universally follow this scheme are from Monster (but there could be others; normally red and white is the choice though).
