I thought we are talking about performance of headphone justified by it's price.

Price performance ratio is always relative due to personal preference.

And we are not even talking about it in relation to personal wealth and spending ability yet.

 

Back to OP. My conclusion is Z1000 is a heck of a headphone for around $300. But if sub-bass is your thing, then look away. Just that in this price range, you could be giving up more to get sub-bass.
