Shure SE530 Repair?

I have a pair of SE530's that I bought in Oct 2008. The sheathing around the cable leading to the right earpiece got a little torn, and now the wires are exposed for about 3/4 of a centimeter along the cable. This hadn't been a problem for about the last 6 months, but just a week or so ago, the right earpiece started cutting in and out and was sometimes very static-y. If I press the cable around where it comes into the earpiece, it sometimes fixes it, which makes me thing this is unrelated to the exposed wires.

Can/should I send this back to Shure to get it fixed? How long will it take and how much can I expect to spend? Are there cheaper/faster repair options?

Thanks!

Shure doesn't fix IEM, they replace. If it is in warranty, it will be replaced for free. If it is out of warranty, Shure will offer you a big discount for another pair, probably SE535.

The other option are 1) to reshell them, which is not particularly cheap but you get a almost new IEM or 2) to actually replace the cable, which I have only seen being done in China and not really a viable option for non-local.

They have a price list right on the site and for a SE530 they will replace with a SE535 for $240.

Great, thanks. Where's that list? I didn't see anything like that. [EDIT: Never mind, found it!]

Warranty is 2 years, right? I'm well past that...

Shure 530s broke for me about 1.5 years later. They did not offer to replace them. There was 0 physical damage, and I won't be buying their products again.  Their customer service leaves much to be desired.
