DENON AH-D2000 Amplifier

Hi all!, I'm a total noob when it comes to audio. Today i spent a few hours online trying to figure out what headphones that will best fit me for the budget i am willing to spend. DENON AH-D2000 seems to be what i am looking for, and i read that the E9/E7 Amplifier would improve the sound, i dont trust that my soundcard in my computer is very good, so my question is now, will E9/E10 give me better sound with the AH-D2000 headphones or is the difference only noticeable with other headphones?. Also i read that i need a Mini To RCA Cable to connect the E9/E10, is "Dynex 6' Mini To RCA Cable (DX-AD104)" the correct cable? or what cable do i need?.

Do you need only an amplifier or do you also need a DAC? With their 25 Ohm impedance the Denons aren't too hard to drive. It's the DAC that improves the sound the most.

I read on another site, quote: "The real eye opener is feeding E10’s lineout to E9 – the result is clearly better than E7+E9 or E10 by itself."
So i want both.

Basically your question is "will E9/E10 give me better sound with the AH-D2000 headphones or is the difference only noticeable with other headphones?". Though I cannot answer it directly, I can say that I have the AH-D2000 and the Yulong U100 DAC/Amp, and it sounds definitely better than a few stock onboard-soundcards I have tried it with. The bass has more punch, the mids and the highs are clearer and the signal to noise ratio is way better.

Would you say that the U100 has better sound then Asgard?

EDIT: I read now that i need a DEC like the Bifrost for the Asgard, too expensive for my budget.

Mine came with a US-plug and an adaptor for European jacks, so I think you don't need one. And like I said, I don't have any other DAC/Amp so I cannot compare the Yulong to anything else than onboard sound.
