Altmann Tera-Player? Anyone? - Page 8

It's all about personal preference as I have an HM602 and much prefer the sound of my Tera-Player instead.

Cheers.

mad.gifDude, this charlatan jacked the price up to £840 Euros (about $1080USD), he's a THEIF and should be banned IMO!!! angry_face.gif

I must admit that the price increase was a bit much.

Having corresponded with Charles and thoroughly read his website articles, I'd say that he's more eccentric then crazy, but eccentric in a mad inventors kind of way.

What I see is he's actually just exceptionally greedy. This really makes the iBasso DX100 look all the more appealing to me,...this guy is just a ***fail***

Really, for around $300 + better codec support I'd have order this already,...and I know a few other people that would have as well.

I think, Charles would cut the price in future, because, the market of portable hifi dap is getting hot. There are hifiman, ibasso, fostex, Alg-Solo, Teclast, QLS and many will come and we customers will benefit from it.

Grin, that's when prices get related, to what devices actually can do - instead of fantasy prices for bedazzled, bigeyes (no make it bigeared) "audiophiles", who'll believe anything, as long as it's written in words a sommelier on drugs would use.

Actually, I do not have much bias to terra player, well it may perform  well indeed, concerning its size. and i would not compare it big Hifimans.it can actually create a new category of portable hifi daps.

Anyway, the price is still a hammer-blow to my little audiophile head.confused_face(1).gif

Post deleted.

(Given that my negative post a few pages later was censored, I would not want this positive one to remain either.)

This is a very unnecessary post. There's no need to insult the man. It's his product and he can choose his own price. If you don't like it don't buy it. Think about what you're about to post before you start typing.

as far as i don't like charles's marketing strategy, i find that comment quite outrageous as well

but maybe he's just expressing his disappointment smily_headphones1.gif

The same thing is with many Androdoid phones and other devices.

Hi Szadzik,

we received SDXC 64GB card and SDXC reader (both branded Komputerbay) yesterday.

Formatting to FAT32 using Disk-Utility on Mac-Mini was successful.

The 64GB SDXC card played in the Tera-Player without any problems.

However we tried 2 times completely filling the card with albums using Mac-Mini and dedicated SDXC adapter, but each time the card crashed after writing approximately 15GB.

This may be just a bad card, so we will try a 64GB SDXC from a different manufacturer and keep you tracked ...

Thanks, this is exactly what I wanted to know.
