Heyy~ welcome back! :D

I haven't got the chance to watch madoka yet.... Theaters over here don't provide English subs.... will wait for BD.
(Even if they ARE providing English subs, I'm not gonna line up for hours and pay the $3x they are charging for a single movie!)

Agreed... Like every single work by butch gen ;)

I've kinda put that one on-hold and moved on to other games. Been playing fortissimo EXS recently.

Thanks! Been mainly posting in the actual head-fi threads about audio gear. I think I am coming very close to reaching my ideal end game. I have a gungnir usb gen 2 coming in and I am just waiting for a zana deux. Then hopefully I will be done with my audiophile journey xD

I've actually haven't dropped any VN yet (aside from fortune arterial because translation is still going on). I came pretty close to dropping kira kira though, but somehow I managed to finish it. After Grisaia, I will read True remembrance and Kono Oozora ni, Tsubasa wo Hirogete

I've played some of the fortissimo songs on Osu before, but didn't know it was a VN. Guess I'll have to check it out when a patch is released.

Well I ended up marathoning Escaflowne over the weekend. I gave it a 10 on my MAL, the first 10 I've given since Bakemonogatari aired in '09, and I think I only have 5 or 6 10 ratings total.

Now I am very fair with ratings, this was a show that aired in 1996, so you have to make concessions for the hand-drawn style and fairly basic plot, but this is about as close to a Lord of the Rings style epic as you're likely to see in under 30 episodes. The only real knock I had against it was that the main character is a clichéd damsel in distress and seems to fall in love with everyone lol.

Haha my audiophile journey have pretty much already ended, this thread is like my usual hang-out place since I don't really like facebook.

I tried playing Kira Kira a few days back.... dropped around an hour in.... I just didn't find it all that exciting.
Guess I just prefer action / fantasy / SF VNs

Doesn't seem to be anyone working on fortissimo TL so I just went ahead and played it raw.
AFAIK the only difference between fortissimo EXA and EXS is that EXS has 3 more routes and H-content, so of course I went for EXS. lol

Really enjoying the 1280x720 resolution btw, high budget production.

After that I have Sumaga (TL in-progress) and Bloody Rondo (no TL) on my wait list.

Great OP from fortissimo btw: One from EXA, other from EXS

Ahh yes... modern VNs and interfaces ftw.

Will have to check out Bloody Rondo someday, it seems interesting. Reminds me of tsukihime though.

@people who watched madoka 3 - Kinda late, but as a pretty big madoka fan, I was quite satisfied with the ending. The ending was kind of expected to be dark and all, considering it is madoka. My friends who went with me didn't quite agree with the ending though. I feel like having read through a good amount of VNs with various happy, sad, neutral, etc endings, that I don't feel like a happy ending is necessarily appropiate for some stories.

I think they did a great job with the ending. They answered the biggest problem I had with the series before this movie, and even with that problem there I still greatly enjoyed the who series.

The only comment I have on the third movie that isn't good:

Warning: Maybe a Spoiler! (Click to show)
What the f*** did they do to my Homura!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Yup! biggrin.gif

Just finished Gunbuster, the old '80s anime from gainax. It's the oldest series I've seen and one of the only mecha shows to boot. And you know what? Despite the weird pacing and the "well that escalated quickly" moments, it was pretty good!

No it should still be going on... and its not that big of a freebie.  Just Group calls.  Google hangouts does that already.

they started shipping out!  Woohoo!  Now just have to wait on impression on the X5.  As ugly as the X5 is I'm hoping it sounds amazing. it just looks like a stove top to me

No, not the actual call.

Microsoft offered a promotion for Skype in which if you sign up for some e-mail mailing list, you get Skype Premium benefits (basically, group chats in which 2 or more people can use video at once) for a year.

I always LOVE behind the scenes VFX videos like this

But the more I watch them, the more my brain explodes as in how they 'did' it all. This video shows layering, using different models, layerings, filters, and pov's all together, but still.

After seeing you guys talk about that one... I down loaded it too >.>

I'll let you know what I thought when I get around to watching it!
