Anyway, yeah @gopanthersgo1 even if this wasn't the one you wanted to get me. It doesn't matter. This was literally the thing I was about to buy myself over Christmas. Like, literally.

How can we measure the frequency of a periodic sign by an oscilloscope?
 

  a; We identify the number of the vertical dividing when the picture on the screen is fixed
  b; We identify the number of the horizontal dividing when the picture on the screen is fixed
  c; We identify the number of horizontal dividing that belongs to one complete period, multiply it by the timebase value of the switch state then take the reciprocal of the result
  d; We can not measure frequency with an oscilloscope

C seems like the correct answer to me, but with that, that makes D correct too since you measure the period and get the frequency inadvertently.

Ahh~ I see what they did there.....

The answer is d.
You cannot in fact measure frequency on an oscilloscope, you CAN however calculate frequency from period that's measured on an oscilloscope.
The procedure in c will give you the periodic signal's frequency but that's not measuring is it?

...

I see this as a "can you measure in inches with a metric ruler?" question... I'd argue yes.

Either this is the answer or this is a trick question..... LOL
