I think Patriot makes one of those wifi harddrive/hotspot things too (gauntlet node?). I thought about going that rout at one point too, portability really isnt a huge issue, the tablet sits on my desk at work to play music, then comes home with me. I leave my headphones/amp at work in a locked file cabinet. Searching through my options is fun for a slow day at work like today wink.gif

@ Panda, I know I cannot get a P-H (and a little bummed :-P ), I read up on it and was quite impressed with your efforts in the whole process of getting production units.

Old news mate, I've had it for a week or so now. tongue.gif

I personally quite like it. I don't care about the mastering, but I'm digging the song itself.

Lol...

Oooh, I'll have to give it a listen tonight!
Ugh, got a 41/50 on my math exam, which I thought wasn't too bad. Then our professor said the average was 43, meaning I still did poorly, and my grade is still a 2.5 in the class, a full grade point less than I need it to be. Sigh, looks like I'll be retaking this class eventually... T_T
thats not bad...still within 1 standard deviation
Sigh, it's not good when I'm trying to apply for computer science, where the minimum GPA to get in is about 3.7 or so... :/

yeah some companies have the wifi storage thing but this one doesnt have any built in memory, but has a sub slot and a sd card slot.  I got a 128gb sd card for like 20 bucks (sale at staples last year...probably a price mistake).  and it works wonders for video streaming.

Wow.
Just....wow.
Look at you with your abyssmal grades! Filthy peasant!
2.5....

The minimum GPA of CS is 3.7?
Isn't that super easy to archieve with a 2.5 in math? :P

Grade point average isn't the only thing in the application though. They still look at the enthusiasm of the student applying, as in they look for students' passion about computer science in the personal statement. My GPA was less than the average GPA for bioengineering applicants and I got accepted during the first application process after my freshwoman year, partly because I had specific goals in mind as to why bioengineering was a good fit for me.

Ooh, very good point! Thanks Michelle smily_headphones1.gif
Hopefully I can write some programs for Android over the summer that show my enthusiasm for computer science!

The two most looked-at subjects are math and computer science though... :/

That's....still better than the average for our math exams. Our math exam averages are in the 70's often :(

Looking back on the progress, the entire timeline seemed long while we were doing it, but in reality was really quite short.

In my mind, the time it took from when we first got the idea to actual product in hand developed pre shipping was A LOT LONGER than it actually took. It was 3 months from the idea (when i first sent a demo parts list to everyone) to having it in hand which is quite crazy.

So what?
2.5 in math and a (something even better than 2.5) in CS sounds pretty promising to me.

And if everything falls apart, feel free to go to Germany! They don't even ask for your GPA here if you apply for CS :)
(that's how I got in ♥)

don't fret too much about it.  When I was undergrad eons ago; I was the same way.  Definitely took some years off my life from all the stress.  It will all work out in the end

Just Saya no Uta for now. I doubt I'll have much time to do very much gaming on it, and Saya is only 500mb or so, so I figured why not. :D
