HEY EVERYONE! It's Borisu's birthday tomorrow (Nov 11)

or today in HK Time

Wait, November 11?

YEAH NOV 11! Look closer at the AAML Facebook doc if you want (members only) but yeah.

Nov 11 was the day our dear Borisu popped out as a little Aka chan almost two decades ago

And from day 1 of his existence. He already knew to himself that he was differnt from everyone else. From all the elementary school parades and practices. He knew his heart was different from everyone elses.

He even liked 'animation' that was different from everyone elses's.

Even as a small aka chan. He was brought up well.

But here we are today. November 10 (EST) letting everyone know.

The Borisu we know Today is one that we would all think of as this

With his pile of AVN(VN) games he has knocked through (I still hold the record for most AVN's I believe)

And of course, who can forget Borisu's long hair and style that I can only call fabulous

But here we are today. In 2013. 21 months since some of us have met Borisu.

On February 16, 2012 at 3:47pm Eastern Standard Time.

Borisu was a small non ranked Head-Fier (we all know x level Headphoneus Supremeus is the only level of rank that AAML follows duh) that happened upon AAML with the post I shan't forget (or will in 2 mins from now)

OMG a japanese media discussion on head-fi,

Hi everybody :)

He came onto our thread sane, normal and aspsiring to become HS level anime pantsu wear-er

But 21 months/633 days 19 hours, 7 minutes later and all we can say is that we at AAML have succeded. I present to you the Borisu we know today.

Reading through some of the first interactions I had with Borisu is creating some extremely lol situations.

First thing I ever said to Borisu is as follows

ehh shaman king whatever. and jgray...down boy :P we can discuss this some other time :D L3000.gif

Either way, today Borisu, is your day. Happy Birthday from Virginia.

Knowing you for the past 21 months has been an honor. Starting from our High School careers to the one we have now in College has had an astounding affect on my life. From the amount of anime, life, P-H discussion we have had. Very few people in the last portions of my HS career have had as much of an effect on what I thought and felt as you and my fellow AAML'ers have. And even today, as we get busy-er with our lives. The casual mobile and PC/Mac update breaks our bordem. There I am at thousands of points in my life. Sitting in an airport in Florida or while eating food at a restaurant hundreds of miles away from my home with my phone in my hand. I pop open Safari and see an update to the AAML thread. And so there I am. For thousands of moments in my life, hunched over connecting with my friends hundreds of thousand miles away across the entire world. Dedicating time to the idea and fact that the AAML thread was real, and that it was in fact something that was actually there. It was essentially just us. Somewhat lonely people at the moment finding a thread, and like minded people. Bits of data may not be something you can touch. But the interactions were. Happy Birthday Borisu, celebrate the day you were born well. Your existence may seem small in a world of over 7 billion. But know that years and decades later, that I and many will know who you are out of that 7 billion. Our very own Borisu of AAML.

What is UAC1 DAC?

Going UAC1

USB Audio Class 1 (UAC1) is the widely compatible standard for transmitting digital audio over USB. UAC2 is required to go beyond 24/96 audio, but UAC2 support remains limited and requires special drivers for Windows XP/7/8, etc. In other words, connecting a UAC2 DAC becomes more involved and potentially buggy.

It’s easy to understand why audiophiles develop specification wish lists such as 32/384kHz PCM via UAC2, or DSD, or asynchronous operation. The numbers and algorithms look really impressive. But ultimately, you can’t utilize 32/384 audio when your music collection is the bottleneck. It makes perfect sense from a marketing standpoint to enable the latest features on a new device. Fortunately, we’re engineers and not marketers.

C5D’s hardware actually supports DSD and 32-bit audio. We disabled both. UAC2 breaks compatibility with many portable devices, and C5D needs to work out of the box with phones and tablets. Plus, transparency is achievable through UAC1 and fully utilizing 24-bit depth can be unrealistic.

So instead of giving C5D compatibility limiting UAC2 features, it’s configured for awesome performance under UAC1. And we still managed some interesting characteristics–galvanic isolation, asynchronous operation, and a low latency jitter filter.

I thgouth iOS 7 with the new 5S lightninght bolt outputs means that the CCK uses the new lightning CCK's own internal DAC's?

That's what I thought too but I guess it works out.
At RMAF 2013.

C5D works out of the box with iPad and iPhone! Apple has finally enabled UAC1 output as of iOS7. You simply need a Camera Connection Kit cable. C5D is self-powered, so power consumption is of no concern.

That gif is from Kotonoha no Niwa ---> Shinjuku, Tokyo

And for the reference that's the NTT Docomo tower and the forest/park at the first segment of the animation is Shinjuku Gyoen where a important chunk of the story happens.

Does your typing machine ever show you that you've misspelled words?

Just started streaming the OST of Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea for the fun of it and... what's with the grand, emotional music?  I've got tears streaming down my face

Gotta watch the movie...

I just downloaded From Up on a Pooppy Hill and will be watching it :)

Quite a good epsidoe of Vavlrave 17 in the sense that so many things are explained and that it wasn't a mind**** of an episode like usual.

I thought it was so weird seeing that movie, I was in that park in April this year.

Here's a picture of the DoCoMo tower I took while I was there.
