OOOO, so you were the one that has read it. Ok.

Anyway, Gravity is still a bit more appealing. The way the MC looks(ASA) is very off putting.

@ Eve

I like 'real 'versions better lol

Yeah I would give Ender's Game an 8/10 score.

-1 for having a somewhat rushed ending

-1 for not fleshing out some details (although that's pretty much inevitable in a movie based on a novel)

Some of the spinning camera angles were disorienting and headache inducing to me, but that might just be me. Ha, disorientation in space.

Yeah, I was thinking 8 as well.

The camera was disorienting for me as well.

I was at a headphone meet in Coronado (southern California) and got to talk to Dan of MrSpeakers and listen to the Alpha dogs for quite a while. Before this, I owned Mad Dogs with Alpha pads 3.2 for a week and returned them because I didn't like the lack of fullness/attack on the highs with the two amps I own (nfb 11.32 and fiio e12). I listened to the Alpha dogs through my fiio e12, and although they improves on the air and highs a lot from the Mad Dogs, I didn't like them too much... until I ran them through an iBasso PB2 pelican (about 2.5 wats). With this amp they were much, much better imo and I imagine on my desktop amp they would have sounded better too, when com[pared to an e12 (11.32 drives HE-500 just fine). Overall they were probably my favorite closed can at the meet and and that I have ever listened too, if properly amped (I heard th600 and th900, too u/v shaped for me, and Paradox modded fostex). I also thoroughly enjoyed the paradox and they had a more full and intimate sound, while still being airy if need be. The reason I might like the Alpha dogs a little more is that I just believe they are very sexy, but I can't say for sure because I only listened for about 20 mins each.

E12 is on the bottom of my list of sound quality for the Alpha Dog. It's easily bested by the less powerful C5, probably even less powerful P-P, and the slightly less powerful (at 32 Ω) Objective 2. Having more power output from an amp still doesn't ring any bells for me in terms of correlation with sound quality.

Yeah I found with some headphones it just doesn't mesh well lol, my only other portable amp is an e6 and when I get my ES5s I might sell it and upgrade to different amp or just a whole new DAP if I don't like sound straight from iphone 4, or with iphone -> e12 (Don't need that much power for ciem anyway lol). Although today was first time I've heard HD 800s and those were only headphones at meet that completely blew my mind, and even amping them straight from my e12 they were way better than my HE-500s on my home setup. I also listened through them from some 2,500$ amp and with classical/jazz it was comical how much better they were than my HE-500s using same amp and source. However, I listen to 98% electronic music and I thought the HD 800s were significantly better than HE-500s, but not enough to make me want to upgrade yet.

I totally missed the one in Fremont on the 2nd. Made me sad, but not so sure I'm up for it yet.

Maybe I shouldn't judge an anime by its cover? I read it on MAL and was like nope this ain't for me.

This may be the first series I have watched where there was another 'main' user of a person's personal machine before he was and was piloting it for an episode. They fixed this problem by killing her off though thankfully.

Anyway, this series is becomming very Shounen.

It has grade and elementary schoolers, sure, but the show itself is really pure and innocent.
