Today I watched nine episodes of Cuunibyou and guess what?
I don't regret it at all.

This anime was waaaaay better than I expected! (#HatersGonnaHate)
I thought I would get some slightly weird comedy moe stuff.
Boy, was I wrong. Okay maybe 75% wrong.

This anime isn't flawless.
Of course it isn't.
For example all of these side supporting characters except Dekomori (yup) and Rikkas sister were just...there. That's it. Not really good for anything.

But overall this anime was just very enjoyable with a nice lovestory and a pretty good ending :)

No idea what is going to happen in season 2 though....

what the heck!? Where's the "humanity's counterattack" super sub with the SoundWave Mines and moving Stealth Plate armour? I understand you wanting to keep things simple but you don't go killing off important scenes like that! frown.gif

Manga is better, but whatever. The fight scenes were pretty nice.

Yes, I just noticed, at 2 AM. I watched all of Guilty Crown then started Steins;Gate, I was still reeling from GC. Edit: Sorry to spam...

Yeah, watching it weekly definitely helps in my appreciation of the show. Sometimes it don't, sometimes it does.
Slice of life is in my experience usually better watched at one episode per week, instead of marathoning it. While a longer sitting can be boring, an occasional watch is an excellent stress reliever.

It was a good series but marathoning it. Oh god, the amount of cringe is too dayum high

I find that many 'good' shows require the weekly type of exposure as many shows start off really really slow. Clannad is a great example.

@Rikkun

What is your thoughts on WataMote?

Not sure about the penguin, but yes, that's Hanako from KS.

Hmm to me it wasn't thaaaat SoL-ish.
Had a pretty forward storyline with not really much filler stuff.
Tamako Market is SoL! Or K-On!

What is your thoughts on WataMote?

The first few episodes were filled with cringe-material, but the later? Not really IMO. All their magic-battle-mystic shenanigans became more and more sad :(

Watamote is super good!

I'm a slight masochist, so Watamote was absolutely glorious. Hard to watch, sure, but still glorious.

Chuunibyou is definitely SoL, but that aside, I was speaking in general and I was using SoL as an example.

'True SoL' is cute girls doing cute things without an overarching plot.
Normal SoL is anime where there is large focus on daily life of the protagonists and the may be an overarching plot, but it is usually not the main focus of the anime. Chuunibyou definitely fits this description. The plot thickens only at the later half of the anime, and in my opinion it is of little importance.
