That's just what I was thinking of actually. Does FPE do full enclosures though?

Edit nevermind they do, but look at those prices...

why can't this be a full length movie instead of that travesty they released before.... Get Peter Jackson on it instead of the boring Hobbit

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v80), quality = 92

I'm thinking crazy schiit, like using a potentometer to adjust the gain instead of a switch. We're also going to switch out the DAC and maybe use something crazy (assuming we can get club funds to do the initial bulk buy) like an ES9018 and a higher end amp like "the wire" if we can figure out how to implement the gain switch AND put a volume control on it. Borisu, any suggestions? :D

Pretty sure he thought I drew it. I didn't wanna tell him it was from a porn game though...

He offered to "design" the next unit. Whatever that means, I'm not sure. I'm also thinking I honestly want an integrated power transformer if at all possible and sensible, so it can use standard power cables and possibly use the ground pin as a ground for the chassis? Or is that a terrible idea?

Also Boris, do you want to potentially be our "non-UW student adviser" for our club? :D

Umm sure, you can just about replace any of the modules inside as long as it fits :p

Well the reason why I didn't use an integrated PSU is due to potential legal issues (since I'm not a qualified electrician).

but yeah, it can solve the grounding problems.

LOL what club?

It's gotta be said, the smooth motion function on madVR works really well for anime, fluid animations are finally fluid!, and it doesn't seem to interfere with normal animations either.

That is not acceptable.
We should go to the other threads, start some fights and let them get shut down.
Without getting banned of course ;)
The only kind of activity in the DX50 thread is people asking the same questions over and over again.

Hello friends. Long time no see.

Finally pretty much settled in Seoul, with basically the only thing left being an internet connection. It seems my apartment's previous tenant has forgotten to disconnect/transfer their interwebs so I'm just here downloading all the things. (They refuse to answer their mobile).

About 4 episodes behind on every series I was watching last season so it's going to take me a while to catch up. :(

Actually had a bit of an anime moment today. Was riding my bike when I full on ran over someone. Cept it was a middle-aged woman and she wasn't immediately taken aback by my godlike beauty. She might have just been a bit tsundere though.

Play something in MPC-HC, open up the madVR settings from the icon that shows up in the toolbar where the clock is, and look for the smooth motion option under rendering, I've set mine to 'always'.

When something is animated fluidly (like the continuous smooth scrolling of credits text at the end of a movie, it doesn't really work well on text though), the objects don't 'wobble' as much while moving across the screen.

Where to find the version number of MadVR? I didn't find this option, so I think it's some newer version. And besides my MPC is also a few versions old when I looked at the Kawaii pack.

Yeah, like that lithium ion CMOY I was suggesting last night! That would look awesome!

Oh, and did I mention Michelle and I had an epic game of Halo 2 last night? biggrin.gif

Nah, I won't be directly replacing anything in this one. This unit is special to me and won't take it apart again unless it breaks again smily_headphones1.gif

We will probably have to get a different case from eBay since we don't have as much access to the great land of China as you did. Which means new CAD drawings and all kinds of fun things like that... :/

Ah, alright. Assuming we were just assembling these ourselves for personal use, there shouldn't be a problem right?

Also, what are your recommendations for a more expensive amp? tongue.gif
And are there any kinds of potentiometers that we could use to adjust the gain without having the circuitry blow up? XD

The audiophool club we are starting over here at UW of course!

Yo, how's Korea? You're not starting until January? What're you doing in the meantime?
LOL, is the woman okay??

Yep it's a relatively new version, I didn't have the option before either.

The new one is v0.86.11, it shows up on the bottom left of the madVR settings screen, the older versions might not show it there though.

Yeah, it is because it's a new version. Too tired to focus on any show though, so comparing it may be tomorrow.
