Yay.

You will have SO much to do with these two games!
Took me 90 hours to complete all 300 missions and gather every piece of equipment in FFT A2. Really need to replay that.
Revenant Wings does get surprisingly difficult after some time.

Haha true.

My sister still loves them regardless.

What? No. I've heard them before and I love their sound. Sony is something I've grown up with.

As long as you guys like em o.ob
And thats not the Sony I grew up with D:

Yup, completely and utterly possible. Just bring in the used phone (make sure it has a clean ESN) and have Verizon activate it.
You may not wanna go with a 2 year contract even after you find a phone you like, because an even better phone may come out a few months or a year down the line.

Any recommendations? For a good value smartphone on the used market? iPhones are pretty damn expensive even in horrid condition >.<. I'm surprised people even bid at those prices.

None that I can think of that would fit the bill for any price you'd wanna pay.

My 2 year contract with Verizon is up... but none of the new smartphones interest me.

Is it possible to buy a used smartphone (verizon version) and NOT have a new contract started.

The purpose is that maybe I can wait another year, and if I see a new smartphone I like, I can get it for the "discounted price" that comes with the 2 year contract.

Basically, I want a filler smartphone for this year so I can utilize the upgrade price for next year.

Is this possible? I'm not too well versed in the smartphoneverse

Hm... does Verizon use special firmware and etc.? Otherwise maybe any random unlocked smartphone could even work.

But, yes, it works. As for the in between time you might be able to switch to a pay card plan or something. Means you gotta "refill" it every month but at least you get to keep the number.

If you're currently not using a smartphone, that could also mean you would be using a smartphone without data (or super expensive pay per usage data pricing). That's what I do... I pay a lot less than people with smartphones but I also don't have any speck of mobile data.

Most modern smartphones from past 2~3 years should still be pretty good. I mean, I also have a HTC Desire C I don't use and don't mind letting go for dirt cheap. You'll have to unlock it though (there are sites for that). Though that phone is really... basic tier of basic smartphones. It's.... not very fast at all.

Verizon will only activate Verizon phones on their network, so buying random unlocked phones is a no-no.

Well, I am looking into used iPhone 4Ss for around $250-300 on ebay. In this case, my mom can keep her unlimited data plan. :)

Yeah, just make sure there's some way of getting your money back (eBay) in case it turns out it was stolen and can't be activated.

Why so damn expensive for the iPhones though? O.o

It's a few episodes ago but,

Shingeki no Kyojin Episode 21 (Click to show)
I don't understand why Eren just stands at the tree as a sitting target when Annie chops off half his face. When Annie punched him in the face with the hardened skin, Eren seemed just fine; a few seconds after she landed on the floor he seemed exhausted and when Annie faced him, he just stood there without even bothering to block or avoid the attack.

Yes it is. Buy a used phone that either has Verizon sign on it or find some phone with CDMA(not sure if it will work with verizon if you buy it from african ebay or something) and have them just activate it

phones are expensive by the way

They are $650-$800 new. (any smartphone is). So two years used in good condition is still about $250 for a good/mint condition 4S factory reset 16GB's.

When's the last time you bought an iPhone for $400 on contract though? O.o

That's more of what I was getting at...

What, really?

My iPhone is the unlocked version... does that mean if I move to the US I can't use Verizon? ^^; that would be utterly... annoying.

Not that I'd move to the US any time soon.

Right. You could only use AT&T or T-Mobile or a regional carrier if you have the GSM version.

Depends what bands are inside it. If it's unlocked GSM or unlocked CDMA or a 'true' iPhone unlocked world phone.

I remember the last iPhone's being true world phones and thus factory unlocked iPhone 4S and above should work in U.S...not sure, I haven't been following

I'm about to go down to the basement of the mansion

Hook up my MBP to a 55" LED TV and hook up the computer to the entire basement's speakers(not that good but there are so many speakers) and watch some SnK
