I've been suffering from involuntary denial of the mainstream since early childhood, and I ain't kidding you here. Very often when there was something all the other kids liked, I immediately started hating it. Right now I hate myself for doing that, but I can't find a way out. It has caused me to enjoy a lot of things far less than I should.
'tis a curse.
Dead giveaway was the cover images being different from what you'd usually see on those charts.

Are they still translating new volumes? How long would it take for them to catch up the remaining 16 volumes?
Speaking of which, yesterday I met someone who was into SZS as well. He was a third year computer science major and he's a fellow mentor at the introduction camp next Monday.
He asked me if I read the last two chapters, and I told him I did. However I kinda skimmed through them quickly as far as I can remember, and I forgot the grand spoiler. I had him explain it to me, and I was like "ooooooooooh. Damn. That's genius".
I should have read it properly :S

Here's what I've kinda learned:
- I need a smarter phone for uni (one that can do more than just call people and play snake lol)
- even though I am fluent in canto, I have no idea what people are talking about most (yes, most) of the time because of slang terms
- I am socially awkward and will probably never fit in with all the "normal guys"
kind of a bad start for a new "chapter" in my life lol.
No worries, I'm socially awkward as well, but I have an awesome social life right now. The "normal guys" you're referring to should be ignored, you don't have to fit in with them at all, so please don't try as it will only cause pain.
Try finding things like an anime club or some kind of smaller club of people with similar personalities or a common interest and join that. Personally that has been my greatest source of friends by far, and I'm having a great time and good amounts of self confidence exactly because I joined a club like that.
People who think only of sex and alcohol usually don't fit in with the likes of me, and that's perfectly fine. Everyone's different, and in truth I almost sympathize with their boring and sheep-like lifestyle.
