Oh gosh. Monoprice is having a sale on their IPS displays...

$380 for the "nice" 27" 2560x1440

$558 for the single input 30" 2560x1600

$638 for the multiple input 30" 2560x1600...

In order for eyefinity to work, do you need two monitors with the same screen resolution?

For Eyefinity to 'work'. You just need two monitors dude. Doesn't matter what.

But that looks like schiit and won't work well. Because then, the game will be split across two different screens of different sizes AND you will have a bezel in the middle

The most common EyeFinity setup that ACTUALLY works is with 3 screens that are of the exact model. This is so you won't have the bezel in the middle. Keep in mind that Triple Eyefinity setups with 1080p screens running on a $150 graphics card running one of the newest AAA games is not going to get you good performance AT ALL.

I think you do need the same resolution for eyefinity to work perfectly for gaming.

$380 is a good price for a 1440p screen. Not planning to upgrade from 1080p until I get up to something like SLI GTX770s..... Or GTX880. tongue.gif

I'm looking at getting a third monitor though...

Looks like they have to be the same resolution sadly :(

Yeah, $380 for a 1440p screen is pretty darn great. Too bad my 8800gt can't handle a third monitor... rolleyes.gif

I'd suggest getting a better GPU before adding more screens to your setup. GTX760s are relatively cheap now, and Zotac 770 Amps are the fastest factory OC(and one of the cheapest) 770s in the market now.

$250 is cheap? blink.gif

Whatever, I'll just stick with what I have for now.

Oh, and here's the stuff I got from Japan (courtesy of Kalbee) on the right, with ALL the Japanese CDs I had before on the left:

Resolution or not. If you plan to do EyeFinity properly, you basically at the least need 3 monitors of the same model at the same level and hopefully with the most minimal bezels you can find becuase not everyone has the skills or wants to take apart the screen and rebezel it.

Well **** that.

I'll just be happy with what I have now and put that $400 down towards an airplane ticket for Japan.

Well... It's one of the cheaper high performance cards you can get. But I get what you mean. It took me a long while to finally pull the trigger on my 770 Classy. Still just sitting there waiting for the rest of the parts to come in/become available.

$400 to Japan?......so cheap. Oh wait, single trip? hehe

You can get EF working on any amount of monitors at whatever model or resolution. It basically just stretches and makes the two monitors one and looks like crap with games if you don't have at least 3 monitors of the same kind.

Woah.. So much packaging. No wonder the $50 shipping.

Nah, it's probably $1k for a plane ticket... $400 gets me 40% of the way there though. I might try and pull a miracle outta my arse so I can go next summer with Eve and kalbee.

Box size actually doesn't affect the shipping price at all for EMS, it's all based on weight...

This was 2.25Kg worth of CDs... D:

Nah, I'm talking about spending like a week in Tokyo and touring some of the local attractions for a couple days and trolololing around Akiba for a few days.

The Ticket to and from Japan is usually some of the most expensive things to pay for. Stay a bit longer lol! :)
