Without the carpet, I get a bit of subbass. With the carpet I got almost none, unless I stick my head under my desk. Even then it's flabby. But hell yes for speakers. Sure, I might not be able to hear hyperdetails, but as long as I can get superb vocals and instruments to render not ****, I'm very happy already. Like now.

Nice! I should buy a model some day to paint. All of the ones I have are cheap'o ones that look quite lame and are flimsy. XD
@miceblue, why not practice first on the cheapo ones you have? And how does westerners mistake anime and manga? Isn't it quite straight forward? Anime = animation, manga = comics.

So as long as I can... accept **** anime, then I'm fine? But other than that, I don't go all "bowei-kun. your so kakoi". Besides, in that stupid weaboo bs, it's supposed to be "sugoi desu ne?" for a question right?

@lolicide,. do you have a MyAnimeList account? Also, to further make you Public Enemy No. 1, your name promotes mass murdering of lolis.

Yeah I might practice on one of my cheap'o models some day when I get the time. I'll need to visit one of the hobby shops to see the colour selection for paints too.

Remember that really great anime Avatar: the Last Airbender? That was probably the best anime I've seen yet.

They even made a manga based on it!

On a more serious note, this looks awesome!

And this happened too:

I think I read somewhere that the delay in train service was less than 10 minutes. Dat's crazy! In Seattle there would be an hour's delay. >_<

I've always thought otaku was a term used for someone that is obsessed over something? That it wasn't particular to anime/manga and what not.

Also, aren't "nerd" and "geek" once negative words used as well? It seems like now some people don't mind being called that.

I for one don't care about labels. I can call myself a geek or nerd or whatever. I still read comics/manga and watch anime at my age, but I'm also really into guitar and photography. I have a bunch o of different hobbies and interests. Its not like I'm ashamed to tell someone I read manga lol

Otaku=obsession/love of anime/manga/asian stuff. Not just general obsession.

They used to be, they are now words people positively identify as, but can still be used as a bully term to make fun of.

@ IcedTea

Iono, maybe it's because some people associate otaku with weeaboos and wapanese.

Daang, I'm surprised this hasn't been done before!

Bowei you need one of these with a contoured heat sink to make your steaks and pancakes perfect! :)

This is just not right.... their description of an "otaku" is mine of a normal person

and their "weeaboo" (except for the last 2) is me exactly.

I'm guessing IcedTea is basing it on the Japanese definition. There are, for example, military otaku, where they are obsessed with all stuff military.

Now that you mention it. Maybe. I don't know Japan as well though.
