Goodness. I'm back. Did everything I wanted except to meet with kalbee and get the head-fi and akiba (went, but I wasn't able to do much rolleyes.gifpart of tokyo in depth. Oh. And watch the first episode of dxd. Was very sad.

Debating on whether to write walls of text of the experiences I've had.

When I came back to America, it felt as if I'd come to a completely different world.

Hows the trip to Japan? Actually more importantly, how are the women there?

It was amazing. I'll write it all later. Taken so many pictures for you guys.

Women... assuming you're talking about looks, pretty plausible? Natural beauty in relativity. I can understand why LNs/manga/anime have a chibi heroine now. But that's relative. You don't find many tall ones (mean of what I saw was probably around 5'4").  Didn't really look at them much since I was more focused on shrines and other things. But overall, I think they're pretty nice looking. Much better than the asian girls here (senpai were attractive, but they're out and have moved on).

It's hard to look at them when they're either in front of you or next to you =_=

When I went to Hongkong, I stopped looking for asian beauties after like 3 days because there wasn't too much to look at there. Some of you Hongkong folks here might disagree with me but... that's just my taste ;-)
More time for visiting shrines etc.

I think the only HK folks are Boris, Charles, and Joe. Though Charles is an uber lurker and Joe... well I haven't seen him since my skype broke.

Watched first episode of Gen'ei o Kakeru Taiyou, the title of which I totally just copy-pasted from my recycle bin, against my better judgement. Pre-season there were some whispers about it being a Madoka imitator, but I'd say that it's more of a Symphogeh imitator. Probably not overtly ridiculous enough to gain a similar following though.

But seriously, dat writing. Was God-tier.

The animation was fluid and the soundtrack immersed me into CSS. Every episode Sakura was wearing a new cute outfit. I thought that was cool. Dubbed CCS premiered on KidsWB when I was in like 4th-5th grade so I had a total crush on Sakura. lol But I didn't know it was called "anime" at the time. I thought it was another american cartoon. I found out about the world of anime when I entered high school where my friends introduced me to it. And the rest is history.

Haha yeah. The OP and ED videos AND songs were absolutely beautiful.

My childhood anime were actually CCS (the least), HunterxHunter, GTO, and I think it was Kodomo no Omocha.

My childhood manga were CCS and HunterxHunter. All thanks to my cousin lol.

+1 me too xD

And when I saw the last volume where she was a teenager I was like "wooooooooooow"

Apparently CLAMP noodle people don't bother me too much. Makes her look slender. Nothing wrong with looking slender :D

Natural beauty? How does one see natural beauty in Japanese girls you see on the streets?

We should all know there's a few grams of makeup there.

Unless we look at middle schoolers, where the chances of suppin are higher but the chances of us getting questions at the police box gets higher too.

[2013/07/09 20:56:32] Kalbee: Boris how much is the PP projected to cost?
[2013/07/09 20:56:47] Kalbee: And still D: why 9V battery. 2 AA or 4 AAA would have been better in terms of capacity no?
[2013/07/09 20:57:13] Kalbee: Plus rechargeable 9V batteries so inconvenient
[2013/07/09 21:07:05] Joe: No need for DC transformer probably
[2013/07/09 21:08:13] Kalbee: Which usually means wasting the extra power that doesn't get used by the chip
[2013/07/09 21:08:24] Kalbee: And even worse efficiency

1. LOL from me? or from the company I'm giving the design to? (due to head-fi rules I must sell at production costs + shipping)

2. yes, that would have better battery life, but it will sacrifice input signal range. I'm using a volume-after-gain topology like the O2.

3. Oh, the battery is not rechargeable, you must replace the battery after it dies.

4. I don't understand what these posts mean.

1. either... cause otherwise I might be interested in that Bispa kit I saw. Must have a huge bit of mark up in there though.

3. I know, I'm saying finding a rechargeable 9V is hard and they don't last terribly long.

I meant that if you wanted the amp to achieve the same voltage swing using two AA batts (3V) as a 9V battery, you would need a DC transformer to increase the voltage.  I have no idea what the stuff Kalbee said after that means either confused.gif

Oh yeah, cool and not cool things I saw at Akiba today.

Not cool:

1) a tall guy cross dressing in a short plaid skirt and goth loli top, walking around the street.

Cool:

1) UE speakers playing ReDial album as test track.
