Still can't decide if I should throw all my money at Aurisonics and order the ASG-2...

If you get an HD album, purchase this one. It's the cheapest 24/96 album I've purchased and it's a good sampler album. It's cheaper than a CD!

If you want to know about the tracks, I have the liner notes: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2816447/Open_Your_Ears.pdf

I purchased I Ching's 24/96 album a few months ago (which contains track 05 in the above album). It's a great folk/new age/instrumental album if that's your thing. It demonstrates the limitations of the K 701's soundstage in depth.

Finally finished Shinsekai Yori after putting it on hold since it first aired. (it was moving pretty slow half way through)
Well damn, it sure ended nicely.

So much for anthrax, I thought it was a key item in the plot..... didn't do jack schiit.

Pretty interesting!
Thanks a lot :)

Right now I can't really do anything with the tracks. Both(!!!) headphone etc. outs on my PC are broken and my Cowon J3 can't play these crazy files.
I guess I'll have to wait till I get my Fiio X3 :/

Mhmm no problem.

Aw man that sucks!

If you're interested in a binaural acoustic album, Ottmar Lieber's Up Close album is probably my favourite binaural album. It's way more musical than a lot of Chesky's binaural/binaural+ albums and it still demonstrates the binaural recording effect quite well.

I have the 24/96 version, but the benefits of it are pretty minimal for the tracks, even if it's audible, and you would probably be better off buying the the CD equivalent.

A friend of mine introduced me to Lieberts music a few weeks ago :D What a coincedence. Never knew he made binaural recordings. It's not that easy to get your hands on this album here in Germany, but I'll sure find a way ;)

Latest purchase:
This super fuggin great album :)

I also watched the first episode of Ergo Proxy.
It has "Blade Runner" written all over it :D But that's totaly fine for me, because I liked Blade Runner.
The visual stil is really really fitting. They did a great job on that.
Overall, the first episode gets two thumps-up from me! (That is the highest possible rating because I only have two thumps)

I have so many things to watch right now, it's not even funny....

I aw Blade Runner 2-3 days ago.

I didn't like it.

I know I know. It's a great thing. However I watch movies, and animation to be entertained. Not analyze and care about it's literature and themes behind it. Apocolypse now, Blade Runner. All great movies with strong backings against it. I couldn't care less to ever watch them again. I watch to be entertained, and away from all that stuff. This of course is subjective.

I don't really care for 90% of the upcoming seasons shows :/

Well, I still have enough other awesome animu to watch :)

Red circle are the ones that I look forward to. black bars are anime that the MALUpdater is **** at when sorting the list, i.e. past or upcoming seasons this year.

I like this kind of movie (and apparently also anime). I also watch a lot of light and even mindless stuff, but I'm still always in for some deeep schiit :)
And you are right, they really don't have a lot of re-watch value (that's a word, right?) IMO.

Oh and I can't believe they forgot to mention this god-tier thread in their comparsion!
