Cheers

Yeah I'm deciding whether its Nakamichi Dragons or SR-009's. Can't decide but if I go SR-007/9 path I will be building a BH or KGSSHV or might just get a BHSE or so.

But right now I'm just starting my journey to collecting all the Stax electrostatic earspeakers ever made.

Don't be surprised if you see a kidney or a liver up for sale in the F/S section anytime soon.

Already own the SR-202 and had the complementing amp before I sold it off.

Btw which auction proxy do you use? I use kuboten but I'd like to know if there are you can use without paying fees, if exists.

Dang, that's unfortunate as I do like treble just a bit frown.gif
How would you say the treble is compared to something like the LCD2 if you've heard that?

Haha, alright.
I use buyee. They charge 10% plus a payment fee of 200 yen.
I can't complain about them though, I've done 2 auctions with them and both showed up in excellent shape. That, and they withdraw directly from my debit card so I don't have to deal with adding a certain amount of money to my account and then being capped, etc. like other places do.

Oh I would love to listen to some Lambda Stax or something similar in that Stax tier. The thing is that you only can get your hands on the 1000€+ and the sub 250€ models here in Germany :-\
If I really someday decide to invest in a Stax HP it should at least be something decent (400-700€).

The lcd 2 treble is smoother and about the same quantity if my brain is not wrong. Compared to my gr07 and ie80 the um3x treble is smoother, darker and almost free from sibilance.

I would say this is in the Stax tier, and it's very affordable too. ;)

Oh sheet, I thought the Stax headphones were just a cool add-on to the cover art:

Now that's what I call *cough* hearing what the artist intended: using the same headphones that were used in the monitoring process.

Well that recording specifically only came with the Lambda Pro's back then.
