Nope, the balanced cable is still being prototyped because of the pain in the arse connectors the T50RP has on the side lol

Yeah I'd rather not waste money and time going through these revisions. Alpha Pads were released, what, 5 months ago and now there's already a new revision? No thanks.

If I buy a T50RP, it'll be LFF's Paradox mod.

The same friend I talked about before compared Mad Dogs (Alpha pads) with Paradox (rather talked about both than really compared)... At first, he told me that those two are very different-sounding, quite difficult to compare. Mad Dogs should sound very similar to LCD-2 while Paradox are... neutral and let's say "dry" as well as studio monitors usually are.

After owning the paradox for almost two years now, I can say it's not as airy or enjoyable musically than an HE500; but it is more accurate and balanced. It's amazing for a closed headphone, and a bargain for what it costed. Considering the driver it uses, it really is pushed to the brink of perfection (for what it is...).

Yes, they are great for mixing/mastering etc - that's what they were created for, according to LFF himself. "Enjoyment" is subjective, I enjoy paradox more than i did with he-500, they are just BORING compared to paradox.

LFF is a mastering engineer so I trust that his mod is definitely more suited for my liking compared to an LCD-2-like sound that keeps changing.

There was a LFF going for $250 a week ago in the FS. I almost dived on it, but I didn't fancy another studio type sound.

There are many mastering engineers out there. But man, didn't realize that LFF was one

Being a mastering engineer doesn't mean that headphones are going to be the most neutral all the time though...

I applied an EQ to simulate the 3.2 changes, everything sounds more... Crunchy? There's quite a change in the 4khz area, that's for sure.

The mids are less congested now, instruments are more defined (Sound like they have better timbre kind of?) and female vocals are definitely more forward.

I'll be sending mine off along with my friend's pair sometime in the next few weeks...

You dont need to know physics to be a mastering engineer............. just sayin'

In fact, modding headphones have little to do with mastering.

Thats what i was going at. Where being a Mastering engineer doesnt mean beutrality guarantee.

Yahari ore had my curiosity but it now has my attention as I finish ep5.

Guys go read Sugar Dark: Umerareta Yami to Shoujo. Sweet, concise and very nice. :') good stuff.

Hmmm... anyways, I found another manga prior to it by the name of "Until Death Do Us Part". Also pretty nice.

Feels like I found another one and it's not coming up atm.

): even the manga of Tomoyo After makes me want to cry a river... even though I have to tears to offer.

Yeah I know but I'm just saying that he is probably qualified to make a good-sounding headphone for neutral purposes; and as indicated by people who have listened to it, it seems to be quite successful at that. MrSpeakers is an electrical engineer yes, but he's tuning the Mad Dogs to be more suited towards the LCD-2's sound, which I wouldn't say is the most neutral.

And another anecdote:

Quote:
Mad Dogs is pretty much less refined than paradox and it's much warmer. Technically paradox is just a step higher. Individual preferences is another story :)
