Guilty crown is very very annoying at times. kinda hard to watch sometimes. it's a good show. however, not absolutley amazing nor memorable

Lol. IMO Guilty Crown is the best series of 2011. Everything's building up nicely now. I think it all started during 10 or it was 9.

I'm hoping Guilty Crown isn't one of those that I get frustrated because of the stupid and spineless protagonist.  The only reason FSN was anywhere near bearable for me is because I was already a fan of the IP and pretty much took the whole anime as a fan service.  I joked with a friend that the series basically became about what horrific way the protagonist was going to get injured this week.  It was just frustrating because he wanted to be some kind of hero and had about as much of a grasp of reality and his own shortcomings as an inbred chihuahua.  Sure didn't help that they tried to bring in elements of some of the other storylines and just didn't do a good job meshing them into the storyline they "chose" to portray.

Yeah.. last exile...not what i wanted. guilty crown is currently being questioned onn if it will make my top 20 list or drop to "generic" rank

And yeah. fSN...not really much going on. after the first episode and seeing all those summonings....it hasn't reallly moved my heart.

The soundtrack is good :) both the opening and ending have great sound along with superb great high quaity visuals. :)

I mostly agree.  I think it has potential...maybe not to equal the first to me (which isn't surprising, since it really kinda sets a good bar and was the first)...but it'll be a whole lot happening really quick if it does get going, which guess I guess is totally possible.  Also agree that the soundtrack is good.  Lot sof tracks that sound familiar and have been repurposed or re-edited.  Definitely sounds like the same collaboration as the first, which I liked a lot.  I listen to the first Last Exile's OSTs at work sometimes.

Maybe part of the reason I'm hesitating about Guilty Crown is that I'd rather live in anticipation than disappointment.  I'm a bit odd that way.  LOL

I actually honestly don't recommend FSN to my friends unless they want to go digging into the story and background from the visual novel.  I loved it, but like I said, I know it's because of the inner fanboy in me squee squee squeeing all the way home.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I'm a little confused on why they decided to release FSN before FZ since FZ happened 10 years ago IIRC. Even if they go around explaining what everything is in FSN (ex. Holy Grail War, Servants, Masters, etc.), they do a very good job explaining it in a brief and concise way when Waver is looking through the books at the school library.

A lot of anime's do that. they do a good job of explaining however

This just might be the thread to bring me out of the woodwork... Here goes I guess.

Why is there no mention of anything related to Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei? It has some great songs in there, and the comedy is up my alley. The best thing is, the simple art style is so adorable! <3

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Too bad it ended in 3 seasons and 3 OVAs only. Still have the manga going, but its not the same IMO. <3 Fuura-chan <3

Also, some of Gurren Lagann songs are awesome too! I don't like listening to electronica/whatever genre and the like, but some of them in the second part are really to my liking.

All those song lists you guys posted here reminds me about my to-watch list, and the time that I don't have to watch them all. >_< Exams doesn't help too. angry_face.gif

Will be keeping an eye on this thread. popcorn.gif
