Nice!

You'll have a blast when you go on a holiday and start doing street photography.

Just don't be that guy with the large branded neck straps and a 'pro' camera bag. tongue.gif

Get a fast 50mm (equivalent) when you can!

Haha, that's the plan tongue.gif (the bit about holiday at least)

I'm keeping the normal neck strap though, haha. The camera bag that came with the kit though is absolute trash. Gonna have to find another one soon... (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/868301-REG/ruggard_phb_125b_hunter_25_dslr_holster.html)

What do you mean by "fast" 50mm equivalent? O.o

also getting in on the 5k page post WOOT,

yea my OC'd Failed intel Burn after 13 turns... I never got a BSOD thankfully, still my mobo gives me the option of +6 multipler and +33 mhz and up to 1.900 volts [as opposed to 1.130 stock] so an after market cpu cooler, some new case fans and a good cleaning later and I'll be ready to try for 4.1ghz :D [STABLE]

o schiit. 1.9volts. Ye mean, even though a lot that I remember are 1.25ish-1.20ish.

Overvolting to the extreme...

YEA, my mother board gave me that option... I almost crapped my pants as well.

When I went for 4.05 I went with 1.150v .02 increase. Still the potenital is there it seems!

so... how does voltage affect performance? (not a computer geek :p )

I can understand higher clock freq = more operations per seconds..... but voltage?

If you don't increase the voltage, the CPU will become unstable when overclocked.

At higher processing speeds/clock rate, it sometimes requires more power. You can run the risk of undervolting and causing the CPU to heat up a lot. You answered the question yourself :)

man... that's overvolting by almost a whole volt LOL.

I'm still new to it my self [I only increased voltage by .02 from stock] but I beilve that you need more voltage to achieve higher Bus Speeds and clock to support higher multiplier rates.

Non the less, my OC was unstable [I never BSOD thankfully] I'd like to clean my rig and purchase some new case fans and a new after market cpu cooler, and try again!

I'd like to as soon as I get some serious cash saved up. I wanna do a 2000 dollar rig as soon as I can, and custom water cooling is on the top of my list!

What do you mean by "fast" 50mm equivalent? O.o

By 50mm equivalent, I mean a 50mm field of view from a 35mm sensor/film.

You have a crop sensored camera, so if you put a true 50mm lens on it, it really becomes something like a 70mm focal length due to the smaller sensor size, which is great for portraits, but a little too long/zoomed in for general use.

I'd recommend something like the 35mm f1.8, it shouldn't be toooooo expensive, and it will be a great addition to your kit, because I think you only have zooms at the moment?

By 'fast', I mean something with an aperture of 1.4, but even 1.8 is considered fast, compared to what most zooms are capable of, which is important in low light photography for getting usable shutter speeds.

:> noice. I need to go back into researching. I've forgotten A LOT of the water cooling pumps (one was by swiftech, and the other was by a japanese company that makes pumps similar to the swiftech model).
