wow.... that's pretty bad...

Yeah you can say that again. It's the reason why I don't like the whole GPA system since tests are usually weighted much more than homework/projects and I'm not good at test-taking.

E.g. a class from last quarter: 33% homework, 33% midterm, 33% final; I didn't do so well in that class

It's because of my lame (for engineering standard) GPA that I'm considering industry instead of grad school for a year or two after graduation. Being in the wet-lab stem cell engineering field on the other hand, industry-based opportunities for me are pretty meager which is part of the reason why I took-up on this audiophile hobby since I can learn some electrical stuff in addition to the biomechanics class I'm taking at the moment to build on my industry-applicable skills.

Now see, I'm trying to convert hand-drawn circuit diagrams and graphs (just examples of graphs that's usually shown for something like... step response for example. Yeah, stuff like that) for my course work. What be the best route, if you know any? Usually this means that I use Word and Paint (of all things) but I figure that there's a better software out there. And I recalled that LaTeX seem to be just for that...

Open to suggestions btw.

Inkscape is your friend when making diagrams.

In all cases making diagrams always takes a long time, independent of what program you're using.

Really? I personally like tests. Perhaps because I'm pretty good at tests. Then again, I have to like tests, because it's generally 80-90% of my course grade, and never less than 60%.
When it comes to projects I almost always get an 8/10, which is not bad. For homework assignments the grade varies from person marking it to person marking it.
For example, in the course I'm taking now you get 1 mark of for even the slightest of mistake. Like forgetting to note that what you have proven is valid for all members of your set, or not explicitly stating which axiom or theorem you're using in a specific step of a proof.
I like the idea of rigor, but it's such a PITA to confirm to it.

I did not know there was an anime thread here ...cool, though I'm still behind the times to keep up with this thread it seems.

I'm sure most here download their anime, but has anyone used rightstuf.com?  If so, would you recommend them?  They have some stuff I'm looking to buy that's cheaper than local/amazon.  I'm always hesistant to buy from new websites.  My boss isn't and his credit card numbers keep getting stolen.

APUSH. I'm sorry America for not knowing your history to the extend where I'd get a 2400 if they were to convert the 5 point system. I will... by the end of today.

NANIIIIII?!?!?!DefQon is moving on to speakers? D: going to a new site? Visit us often.

I didn't say I was bad at tests. I just don't like them, I guess I prefer to have my assesment spread over a longer period of effort. It's easier for me to get a 90% in coursework or projects than it is for me to get that in exams, mostly due to what you just mentioned...rigour is higher in an exam and you don't have as much time to check over your work as with coursework.

Netherlands is in the final for Eurovision song festival for the first time in many years!

Finally we sent an artists that isn't objectively crap. Still the budget for special effects is much much lower for the Netherlands than it is for a lot of other countries, which doesn't really help either.
