The children are in more debt to mothers almost always. You. Are. Crazy.

Agreed, take care of your mum!

I got my hard drive yesterday and it's not quite what I was expecting.

"Safe, Strong, and Aluminum

The P'9230 protects your files with 3mm of aluminum casing surrounding the drive inside. This solid armor protects your data, gives the drive sophisticated substance, and even helps to dissipate heat. These properties help to protect the hard disk and prolong its lifespan. LaCie and Porsche Design worked together to combine form and function-resulting in a desktop hard drive that looks great on your desk and works as good as it looks."

Only the top and front panels are covered with aluminum, the rest is really cheap-feeling rough plastic. My OWC Mercury On-The-Go's acrylic enclosure makes the LaCie one feel like a toy in comparison.

^ that's the bottom

^ that's the front panel

^ OWC hard drive on top of LaCie

Also it just dawned on me that USB 3.0 devices have weird ports since they have to be backwards compatible with USB 2.0 cables. So microUSB 3.0 ports have a microUSB 2.0 interface and likewise for my LaCie's USB 3.0 "whatever this is called" port.

^ 3.0 interface is the slim top connection, 2.0 is the fat bottom one.

Least we got that awesome rendition of Someday My Prince Will Come... only to segue into Art Blakey's Moanin' for the umpteenth time. Can you imagine if Watanabe worked in some Jazz at the Pawnshop action into Kids just as some meta-****? I'd be howlin' that's for sure
Agreed. It wasnt very satisfactory but did it nicely

We all know him as the lovable yuri scamp around these parts but on the rest of H-F he is an imposing presence and authority on all things budget and moe. So let us take some time today in order to celebrate his moe and bow to the greatness and glory that is his budgetiness. Or the other way around.

ALL HAIL JOE MOE

But seriously,
Happy Birthday JoeBloggs! 12 years here and counting ~~

All hail joe schmoe!

Started watching Yuyushiki. First episode was okay. A lot of the lolrandum and ah!sokawaii tropes common in SOL anime, but there were some legitimately funny gags in there as well. It's only the first episode, the first episodes in series are usually bad, so I'll stick with it. It's been too long since I watched animu, what with my incredibly narrow tastes.

Also, the blue haired girl and the pink haired girl seem to have some sort of developmental disability...
Im not watching that show so i wouldnt knoe :/

So finally started watching Muromi-san. The arrival of Hii-chan basically nails the deal for best comedy of the season.

Yuyushiki is my favorite this season.

I think it needs more Google random bs segments though. Those segments increase your IQ by like 20 centimeters.

Need to turn this into a Mother's Day card:

Like Pani Poni Dash!? It was crazy when it comes to references. I mean, one of the subbing groups, instead of subbing the explanations of all those little jokes, they just gathered them into PDF files, released with each episode.
They could reach over 20 pages. Yes, for a SINGLE episode.

Because, how the hell could I know that something is a reference to a Japanese variety show from the '70s or that the pieces on a shogi board were arranged like in a final turn from the match between X and Y in finals of some championship.
