Was looking at rinchoi's website for the measurements of Ocharaku Flat-4 Sui

Wow... the treble area in the measurement really looks scary

About time he has them out. Been waiting as to confirm dat potential purchase.

Working on the in-depth and this confirms my fears (sort of) -

Although anti-phase cancellation is utilized, the conceptual goal of Oharaku's patent is totally identical to that of T-PEOS' crossover network(@ 7.5 kHz = 23 mm), Sennheiser's D2CA resonator(@ 7 kHz & 8 kHz = 24 mm & 21 mm), and Sead Smailagic's idea of designing an IEM from shallow insertion depth(@ 8 kHz = 21 mm). While these techniques effectively offset any ill effects caused by shallow insertion, Yamagishi-san's approach is relatively destructive and is only applicable to users with very long ear canals, longer than 28 mm, not to mention there is a need for extra 3 mm for ear sleeves to fit in, at least.  Considering the effective length of conventional simulators is no longer than 25.5 mm, the benefit from 特許第4953490号 is hard to quantifiable.

But now I sorta want to buy them even more...

And holy fakku the CSDs show razor peaks of death and sub bass delay I didn't even know was possible (the latter part is really cool and I guess cool as well in order to get that peculiar presentation - he describes something similar with the H-100's decay). Sorta describes the "out-of-head" experience that the advocates have been touting.

Oh and the easy to read equations are actually really useful and easy to grasp, unlike the usual technical theory he spews at a rapid pace. Not that I get how it applies practically for even a second though :3

Tilpo, Boris, if you guys are here I think this might be interesting to read - http://rinchoi.blogspot.ca/2013/04/ocharaku-flat4-sui-part3-in-depth.html

Thanks, Ill take a look.

After reading:
Well aint that a shame, but I guess I'm no better because the P-T prototype did not meet my design goals.

Atleast I didn;t release a failed design.

Convo with my otouto just now, he's 12.

Otouto: Hey, what are you doing?
Me: Playing VN. (Ever17)
Otouto: Oh ok.
Me: Wait.... you KNOW what a VN is??

Otouto: Yeah, I played 4 of them.

Me: *Jawdrop* WHAT?!?!

Otouto: what, yeah I played the Ace Attorney series.

Me: ok.... ._. (Phew~)

In my head: WHAT THE ASDFASDFASDF?!?!?! HE'S ONLY 12 AND ALREADY PLAYED 4 VNs?????? SCHIIIITTTT!!!!

Compared the frequency response graphs of the Ocharaku to the Etymotic HF3, ER4B, R-50, TDK IE800 and TDK BA200 (what I use as reference)

Peak at 5.5k and 8k is crazy... I think my ears will literally bleed listening to treble heavy songs

This heroine from Ever17..... is called "you"

and it's not pronounced ヨウ but ユウ like how you'd say "you" in English.......

I can imagine all the confusion that's caused...... =_=

I've heard the Ocharaku before. One with silicone tips and one with foam tips. I would greatly avoid using with silicone tips. The treble is unbearable but when I used the foam tips, it is much nicer with a very well defined treble. Yes, looking at the graphs, they look like they're going to cause ear bleeding but it's not the case. It's airy, smooth, natural and not tizzy. I would think they have treble like the HE-500 but more pronounced.

Well, Ace Attorney series is pretty mainstream.
Haven't played them, but from what I've heard about them, I'd say that they're just adventure games, not really VNs...

As a first time visual novel reader, how much confusion do you think it gave me? O.O

Why does noone here like math as much as I do?

I love math! I am just into practical applications of it, such as heat transfer, and fluid dynamics.  I graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston with a Mechanical Engineering  degree.

I don't really like the foam tips as they don't sit well in my ears. The treble seems bearable to me, but, I guess I listen to my music relatively softer than most. It did take a period to get used to though. It's sparkly and is quite extended treble though.
