As of the motherboard, well it's just like that. The case has a unique ATX layout, it has a 90 degree rotated configuration which only Silverstone does it.

Yeah they did. Mac's did, Since 2006, they used EFI(Intel Standard)

This made them able to boot Windows as well.

Only Macs right?

At the time when I bought the parts (2009 I think), there were no motherboards that had UEFI Bios like now.

UEFI bios is just a pretty Bios with mouse enabled, that's all.

My favourite thing about a UEFI bios is that it doesn't waste 10 seconds displaying nonsense while booting up.

When I first got an SSD, all the bios stuff took longer to load than windows itself. tongue.gif

Has stability issues and the simulator didn't tell me about it, Ill just redesign the whole thing after my exams.
There goes $60 of R&D funds :/
I'm gonna have to get you guys to split some of the R&D costs or Ill seriously have negative profit from P-T.... (besides the time and energy spent on it)
Maybe you should've built one with a protoboard first? That will be fine about R&D funds. Just tack it onto the cost of the PCB and components and such if that's okay with you.

Haha, I read that it was a slightly older computer right after I posted lol.
I've seen a few of those cases like that... Does it actually improve cooling at all?

In the case of the RV-01, it was more of a design study than functionality. Its successor, the RV-02 and the FT-02 did improve cooling because of the wind tunnel design.

In 2009, they were the only mass (big brand) company to have units whose OS supported it and used it. ASUS provided the mobo's with that technology(that Intel pioneered) to Apple.

I say mass brand because who knows what the DIY'ers in Asia were doing etc etc.

Not exactly just BIOS with mouse. It allows for more functions, and I forgot many details but it 'recognizes' more 'data'.

Like how you can't have over X amount of HDD for a boot drive on Bios and other limitations with power/speed/memory that BIOS has.

I forgot most of it, but thats the jist. It's a more advanced boot up system allowing for safer, faster, efficent boot for the modern hardware.

Oh yes, I remember now. UEFI BIOS can accept 3TB or more Hard Drives too. It's convenient but it's not yet necessary for me.

Neither for me.

But it is a new spec update. Obviously if you had a choice of UEFI or BIOS on your next mobo purchase 2013+, one would choose UEFI.

Just a nice update. Secureboot etc etc.

Oreimo S2 Episode 3 surprised me a lot

didn't expect this much change compared to the light novel

As nice and simple as that would make it sound, it's simply not the case at all.  GUID and GPT are a godsend to those who need it. An absolute godsend. No longer would we have to mess with extended partitions or containers. And as maligned as Secure Boot was it still does it's job.

I still wouldn't set it up as it's a absolute PITA to multiboot with the boot managers but that's just me.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

In the light novel, Saori is supposed to go Kirino's house for party, in this episode it does not happen.

Kirino, Kuroneko and Kyosuuke is supposed to go to her house to find out why she is depressed, but in anime it is a birthday surprise, and Saori appears in her fully normal form instead of acting as Kaori like in the LN.

Episode is mostly Saori's backstory, which is much less in the LN.

Kaori came back in the anime, in the LN no such thing happened.

So in the LN, the Saori persona is ditched?

Edit: Oops got stuff mixed up.
