Project-T is a fully discrete headphone amplifier with the design goal being to create a high end fully discrete amplifier at a fraction of the cost of what is currently on the market.
Our designer uses practical audio design and engineering to create a discrete amp that neither hogwash nor snake oil. The muting relays and fully discrete PSU enables Project-T to perform at its best weather you are driving IEMs or full-sized headphones.
What is Project T:
Project-T is a project by b1oLABS to test and produce a fully discrete unit. Armed with the technical knowledge, b1oLABS is here to produce an affordable unit for everyone. The T in Project T stands for Transistor as this is a fully discrete headphone amplifier.
The goal is to use audio design with no exotic components nor nonsense measures to produce a great affordable discrete amplifier.
By using a fully discrete design, this allows out engineer to fine tune every aspect of the amplifier. Most notably the output DC offset and input bias current for the amplifier section, these aspects out perform most commercial op-amps and ensures no pop/clicks even when driving the most sensitive IEMs.
With a muting relay on power on and off, fluid gain levels, IEM’s and full size headphones will be well accommodated.
Built from the ground up by hand. Project-T allows you to also fix or add changes to P-T. No micro solders preventing you from changing parts yourself. If we can build it from hand, you can change it by hand.
The diagrams and files on how to make a P-T will be made available to the public under a general use license. You can build one yourself under the condition that is is not for commercial purposes. The idea is to allow each and every single one of you, the ability to build your own affordable discrete amp. Dual-tracking Bipolar PSU design ensures balanced supply rails
Capacitance multiplier PSU design provides excellent load regulation and ripple rejection.
Muting circuitry ensures no pop/click at power on/off
2-stage design ensure constant input impedance
AC-coupled design prevents possible dangerous DC from entering the system
Sziklai pair used in input stage to minimize input bias current (less than 10nA, better than most op-amps)
Output offset adjustment ensures minimal output DC offset so that the unit can be used with even the most sensitive IEMs

So anyway yeah, we got black.
Cyan would be a unique colour. The one I bought from OSH Parks is a red-purple colour and it attracts a lot of fingerprints. XD
