Yeah...I guess I don't have 10 TB of HD anime. 2TB of storage and a 256GB boot is enough for me.

2TB of SSDs?

3 x 480GB + 1x 512GB = 1952GB (add the extra space on my boot drive to that and it's pretty much 2.1TB.

Oh man, I could never go back to an HDD after having SSDs in my desky and HTPC.

I'm even considering putting an SSD in my netbook, but it would cost more than I paid for the computer! LOL

Too noisy? Now that is a very sensitive ear you got there

The only thing I hear when I connect 2 externals to my lappy is my fan cooler

Is it really that much of an improvement?

I guess I'll try. Maybe I should wait for 256GB to come down to 120GB price

Now that'll cost a bomb... even 512GB would cost a high end ultrabook...

There was a deal a few months ago where the 480GB drives came down to £175/each. Naturally, I bought as many as my bank balance could handle.

I'd like to do something like that, but I just have too much crap to store.

How quiet are pumps these days, can they go inaudible? 35db is still pretty loud.

I only have 4TB, 2TB RAID 0 and 2TB backups. Funny how that I never shut down my PC, so SSD is not going to be a massive improvement.

Windows just feels more responsive with one, I'd never go back.

I thought of doing this when I ordered my PC as a way to cut down the cost of the PC by going into RAID instead of using SSD. 2TB at half the speed of SSD or 120GB with full speed> I'll take RAID all day long

I could turn it down to 30dB, but I cba to buy a 0.5Ohm resistor.

I was talking about the E11...

On my GR07s I can hear hissing when using the E11 as its amp. But I've learned to deal with it, as you should theoretically be using the E11/GR07 our in public, where background noise drowns out whatever hissing there is on the E11...

Dayum, I want that deal!

Though I did get a pretty decent deal on my SSDs, at $195 or so for a 128GB and 64GB. Even better deal on 16GB of ram at $45 though biggrin.gif

I'd never bother with RAID except for redundancy.

It's all about the access times and random reads bro, not the sequential throughput.

Yeah I'm sure water is the best for noise performance during load, but I'm gonna try and make as quiet a PC as possible with air cooling, I just never get around to doing it =/.
